How many symbiotes can a PC have on their person? I can't find a limit and Symbiotic Mastery gives plus 2 hp for each symbiote attached.

Is there a limit?

I was under the impression that they take up an equipment slot. So wouldn't you be able to have one per equipment slot, generally speaking?

I believe a few might be non-slot specific so those you could basically have as many as your hit points would allow?

Ok. So i can have as many symbiotes as i have slots for. But how exactly do I go about getting a symbiote?

Well they have prices set for them (all but breastplate) but I would definately not allow you to buy them if I was the GM.

There is a half-daelkyr (sp?) race you can play that lets you grow a symbiont. This would option and most reasonable.

Then you could always go looking for daelkyr and their ruins in hopes of finding symbionts.

I thought I'd read something in one of the books that allows you to have as many symbionts up to your Con bonus. I could be wrong but I'll take the time to hunt it down and confirm this.

Item slots are the only thing that limit the number of symbiotes you can where, unless it says otherwise under each symbiote despcription.
