I had an idea but I am not sure if it was talked about in a book already. What if one of the reasons the Daelkyr and Rajahs could be imprisoned in the Dragon Below is due to all of the Khyber Shards in it. Perhaps the shards have a special property that lets it trap planar beings, like daelkyr, rajahs, and elementals. If so what happens when you start removing the very thing that traps these dread creatures? Mwahahaha!!! Anyway it is kind of like earths enviromental problems. The thing that is making life easier is causeing problems for everyone down the road.

Well, I think Khyber shards have the property to bind creatures, dot. See the Keeper's Fang, it can 'trap the soul' of creatures it kills.

I like the idea of releasing the Rajahs and the Daelkyrs from Khyber by extracting Khyber shards. All of this could be the long plot of the Lords of Dust finally unfolding. Why was it the Dragons watch in awe and horror when the Prophecy unveiled on the lesser races in the forms of Dragonmarks? The Fiends shaped the Prophecy to give certain families an edge in economic power and shaped their customs to be in better position to exploit the natural world, all in the name to better serve the poeple of Khorvaire. [that would be the evil laugh]
