I want to play a half- golem with the template given in MMII, but there is only a cr adjustment. Does anyone know the LA for this template ?

03-21-08, 07:22 PM The Update Booklet gives LA - which means WotC considers it not suitable as a PC race. Confusingly, MM2 actually speaks about Half-Golem characters, so that does not make sense. Considering the hefty increases as fighting machines (despite the penalties) makes no sense for them to have no LA either.

CR does not equal LA, but the +3 might work for both? That is what half-dragons have got, and at least some of the half-golem templates may be roughly comparable.

I strongly recommend you post this question on the general Monsters board (http://forums.gleemax.com/forumdisplay.php?f=25) as well. This is merely the Eberron-specific forum; you'll get more traffic in the general board and hence more opinions.

03-21-08, 07:45 PM Grafting golem parts to a living creature isn't a great idea, and usually screws up the target's mental stability. I believe this was the precursor to warforged grafts, which are much more successful.
