I believe its called longtooth, anyway the shifter trait that gives the shifter a bite attack

it lists the damage as d6 + one for every extra 4 levels or something like that

so does that mean the shifter does not apply any type of strength damage to its bite attack? If it does do strength damage, what kind. Also what type of damage is a bite attack (B/S/P)

Thanks

The bite is a secondary attack, so you add 1/2 Str bonus to the damage. The attack deals bludgeoning and piercing and slashing damage.

Note that, unless the description of the longtooth trait says otherwise, you get 1.5 x Str to damage if you attack with nothing but a bite. That's because it's your only natural weapon, so it doesn't apply if you also have the razorclaw trait.

Nice catch. This is true. I had a pretty nasty Beasthide/Longtooth fighter-type that could lay some admirable damage on with his bite. It's nice that Improved Natural Attack and similar feats count as shifter feats. They often prove more useful (and attainable) than the core-group of shifter feats.
