They orginally have str +8 and are large, gets +2 level adjustment and more. I think of changing these to; +2 str, 6 feet tall (medium size), space/reach 5 feet, no racial hit dice, natural armor +2, no berserk rage, no level adjustment. Are more social than thir Faerun version. The goal is to remove the level adjustment (prefer PC's who can take classes from level 1) but not sure how mutch of their abilities to remove for that. |

I mean, Xen'drik basically is the tropical South American/Asian/African continent with jungles, deserts, grasslands, and tundra regions, and is largely unexplored, so big Elephant people would fit in there alright. As far as making them playable without a Level Adjustment, the Forgotten Realms book did offer a suggestion. Instead of not taking class levels, they take a penalty equal to their level adjustment on all rolls. The penalty lessens by 1 every level they gain until they pay it off. If you're trying to rebalance them a good way to go is... +2 to one stat and -2 to another Small or Medium size Low-Light/Darkvision +1 to a particular save or against specific effects +2 bonus to skills Special Ability equivalent to an sort-of-okay non-combat Feat at first level The special ability can be something like an natural AC bonus, resistance against certain powers, spell-like ability, special movement (faster than normal, climbing, swimming), or something race specific (stonecunning, find secret doors, shifting, minor shapechange). |

Non-ECL +0 races have just as much of a role in Eberron as they have in other campaign settings. (This isn't to say that you might not want to reduce them to ECL +0 on independent grounds; I'm just noting that it's neither here nor there in terms of adapting them to Eberron.) I could see them living in Droaam, perhaps. |

Making them LA +0 rather than LA +2 has nothing in particular to do with adapting them to Eberron. I know :) I just want them to be able to take class level from lvl 1 on as many of the games start with lvl 1 chars. |

Add Dex -2 to that and youre good to go. |
