| treon03-24-07, 07:58 PM | are there rules for minotaur pcs without an la for eberron? |
| Subtle Knife03-24-07, 08:02 PM | nope. SK |
| dunkeykong03-24-07, 08:12 PM | Not with the minotaur, its simply to powerful to not have an LA. on the other hand, a race like satyr, or pixie, or lizard folk could be worked down to where it was an LA 0 race. A possibility might be to take racial levels, I know they have some for several races on the WOTC mainpage if you look for them, there might be guidelines for doing it with any race, but regardless, you could probably figure out a system. |
| ieattrollsforbreakfast03-24-07, 08:32 PM | Dragonlance has low powered minotaurs as a PC race. I don't know what their stats are or if they have an LA, but they should be much closer to what you're looking for than the stats in the MM. |

| BlackTiger03-25-07, 05:20 PM | In my 7-8th level Eberron game, I am allowing a player to play a Minotaur PC with levels from Savage Species. With a few minor tweaks, the racial breakdown fits seamlessly into 3.5. He is minotaur 6, Rogue 1, and carries a great scimitar. Refugee from Droaam and a former sky pirate. |
| Elemental_Elf03-27-07, 02:18 AM | The Dragonlance Minotaur would be your best bet. Otherwise, just take an Orc, eliminate the Light blindness and the neg to WIS and you should have a pretty good Minotaur... |
| Azazyll03-27-07, 01:43 PM | just use the Savage Species (it's the example monster species towards the begining of the book) minotaur and convince your DM to start out at a higher level game. Eberron is fantastically fun at high levels. Minotaur background has only showed up so far in PGtE, where minotaurs are described as ruling maze-cities in Xen'drik, although in Keith Baker's novel City of Towers, Lei fights a minotaur. Later they see a minotaur in Stormreach in The Shattered Land and note the anatomical differences between Xen'drik and Khorvaire minotaurs |
| treon03-27-07, 10:15 PM | thanks for the suggestions the dragonlance minotaur occurred to me to but my dm said no i don't own a copy of savage species but if its got mintaur racial levels in it id gladly pick it up. |
| Ryoden_Anariavas03-28-07, 09:36 AM | thanks for the suggestions the dragonlance minotaur occurred to me to but my dm said no i don't own a copy of savage species but if its got mintaur racial levels in it id gladly pick it up. Savage Species has racial levels for alot of the common monster/PC races I sugest you take a look at it |
| Kreistor203-28-07, 11:22 PM | Ibixian (Goatfolk, MM3) is a good scaled down, low LA race. |
| Fabius Maximus03-29-07, 11:53 AM | Ibixian (Goatfolk, MM3) is a good scaled down, low LA race. ... which has nothing to do with minotaurs. |
| The White Sorcerer03-29-07, 02:27 PM | ... which has nothing to do with minotaurs. Well, they do both have horns. |
| Fabius Maximus03-30-07, 07:25 AM | Well, they do both have horns. Well, try to liken a minotaur with a goat, and you get gored faster than you can say 'Ibixian'. ;) |
| The White Sorcerer03-30-07, 07:40 AM | Well, try to liken a minotaur with a goat, and you get gored faster than you can say 'Ibixian'. ;) The point was propably to use ibixian stats, not their appearence. |
| treon04-02-07, 09:00 AM | so i checked out savage species and it went over better with my dm but we already had started the campaign so it came a little to late thanks for the help |
