Hey all - I am looking for info on the psi-forged, because the material in the book (Magic of Eberron) is kind of sketchy. It does not list out their racial traits (only that they are basically worforged with the psionic body feat), but when looking over the two examples, both of the psi-forged on page 41 have a the naturally psionic and psicrystal body reserved of power points, even though on the psychic warrior it is shown as having the Mithral Body feat?

I looked for an errata for this book on the WotC site, but did not find one.

This has been caught a few times before, I think the "community" decision is that WotC editors just missed it and the statted examples should have the psiforged body feat. Originally it was going to be statted as a race of its own, but that was cut.

Also, you might want to use some spoiler tags on your sig, when its got more information than your actual post, its no longer just a sig, it needs a website of its own.

Yes - but my sig is LEGENDARY!!!! http://smilies.vidahost.com/contrib/ruinkai/biggthumpup.gif

I think I will work on some stuff and perhaps scribble out some stuff so that the psiforged stand out more on their own. When I get it together, I will of course post it up here to be reviewed and such.

Thanks!

No, it's obnoxious. Just being honest. It's the reason why I used to have sigs blocked, then people started sensibly using sblocks. I might have to go back to blocking sigs.

There is a line between being honest and being rude and for whatever reason you have, you crossed it. I could care less about it you like my sig or not, I am breaking no rules by having it, so if you do not like it then turn use the option to not view signatures. You know absolutely nothing about me to be making a judgment call like that.

You're mistaken. You're right in that I don't know you, but I'm not judging you. I do know your signature, which I am judging.

On the other hand, your signature is excessive. Someone made a polite request in the context of etiquette on these forums, and you blatantly ignored it. THAT is rude. So in any case, yeah, I guess your response (not necessarily you) was obnoxious, but that's just my opinion. I have no problem with adding your sig to my ignore list anyway.

My comment about my sig being legendary was a joke (see the attached smilie), and I am sorry that you took it the wrong way.

That doesn't mean you didn't deny the request.

So because someone suggests something, that makes it some kind of command that one has to follow through on or be ostracized and harassed?

Perhaps before you start preaching to people about board etiquette, you should brush up on some tact first.

*sigh* Never mind.

and now for my actual post:
IMO i think it should be treated as a naturally psionic race, +1 PP or how ever described in Magic.Of.Eberron

hmm a slinky warforged... wonder what cind of stats that would have?
at least a hefty penalty to balance, but damage reduction falling maybe...

All drama about my Mon-sig aside, I think that treating the psi-forged as a sub-race of warforged would be the route to go.

What do people think of this general idea:

Naturally Psionic: 2 power point reserve
Abilities: -2 Str, +2 Con, -2 Cha. The psi-forged are somewhat leaner in their general build, and due to parts of their internal workings being replaced with crystals to contain and focus their psionically endowed matrix, they are not quite as strong.
Vulnerability: Psi-forged have many psionically attuned crystal shards embedded within their bodies which makes them especially vulnerable to sonic-based attacks. Psi-forged take +1 damage per die of damage dealt to them via sonic energy, except as noted below. The shatter, shout, and greater shout spells are slightly less effective against psi-forged because most of their crystal components are shrouded with the forged composite plating, so they only take 1d4 points of damage per caster level (Fortitude save for half).

I am just spit-balling here and other ideas would be more than welcome.
