In magic of eberron there is an example of a Psiforged phychic warrior which has the Mithiril body feat, how is this possible when both mithril body and psiforged body can only be taken at first level considering that it isnt a psionic feat.
Can i take psi forged body as a psionic feat this would seem to make more sence?

The sample Psi Warrior doesn't even have psiforged body. It's assumed that they were going to have it as a subrace, but scrapped it to make it a feat. They didn't go back and fix it in the sample guy.

I noticed the feat wasnt noted too just its effects as such, makes sence what ya saying kinda wish it was a subrace :)

There is always the option of taking a flaw to get an extra feat at first level. Then it should be possible to have both mithril bocy and psiforged body feats.

That option isn't always there by a long shot. It's only there if the DM chooses to use (such a broken/lame, IMHO) variant rule in their campaign. But that's a conversation for another time and place.
Then it should be possible to have both mithril bocy and psiforged body feats.
IDHTBIFOM, but IIRC each of the warforged Body feats contains (or should contain) text stating that you can't take more than one Body feat.

Also, am I the only one who finds the 'Psiforged' name to be intensely annoying? I don't like the backstory presented for them in MoE, either. Then again, I'm a grumpy old curmudgeon, so that might have something to do with it.

You are correct.

Only one Body feat per WF & the Body feat must be taken at 1st level.

Only one Body feat per WF & the Body feat must be taken at 1st level.

Please give a reference, because I can't find that anywhere in the feat description in ECS. Unless flaws are allowed it isn't possible of course since the feats can only be gained a first level.

But then again it really dosn't matter since having both Adamantine and Mithril body would only be a hindrance. The armor bonus overlaps and dosn't stack. While armor check penalty and arcane spell failure stacks (if memory serves).

Only Psiforged body feat would be a benefit together with another body feat.

Please give a reference, because I can't find that anywhere in the feat description in ECS.

All Body feats have to be taken at 1st level & it's stated as such at the end of every Body feat:

Adamantine body counts as heavy armor, grants a +8 armor bonus and damage reduction 2/adamantite, but also provides a 35% arcane spell failure chance, -5 armor check to penalty to certain skills, and a +1 maximum Dex bonus.

This feat can only be purchased at 1st level.

Since WF only get one feat slot at 1st level, you're only going to get one Body feat.

Like the OP said, it works out well for Psions that aren't proficient in heavier armor types since the WF Psiforged Body (IIRC) still has the stats of the typical composite plating that any other WF has.

Similar advantage in AC that a WF wizard that didn't take Unarmored Body would have over a mortal wizard.

WF PsiWarriors or SoulKnives, however, are going to be somewhat behind the AC curve in the early levels.

Yes that I know, but there is nothing in the feat that prevents you from taking two body feats at first level if your GM let you take a flaw.
But as I said above, it would be counter productive most of the time.

That's a big if, given that UA is an alternate ruleset that a GM isn't honor bound to use, or might not even have. But yes, there's no specific language that says you can't have more than one body feat.

It's a statistical impossibility under normal conditions that only house rules or the Flaw altenate ruleset from UA can alter.

Common sense would work just fine to prevent it.

In regards to Psiforged Body I don't view it in the same light as the armor types. If there's a possibility the warforged gains another bonus feat in the beginning sure go ahead. Adamantine and Mithril body are more extensive changes then Psiforged. With Adamantine the Warforged is made with far more heavy materials. Adamantine plating, granite, obsidian, and etc. They tend to be bulkier and stronger and Mithril deviates down a similar path towards durable light materials.

With Psiforged body its generally just crystals inserted in various parts of your body. A scattering of crystal chips over the plating. Not as extensive as that which goes into Adamantine and Mithril.

So it seems to me they could stack.

Can i take psi forged body as a psionic feat this would seem to make more sence?Well, the actual answer to your question is that the psiforged were originally written up as a subrace like the chargers and scouts. Along the way, it got changed to a body feat (a much better choice, IMO), and they simply forgot to change the example character's stat block.

WotC is very particular about their wording in their rules. So if it doesn't say that you cannot take more than one Warforged Body feat (note that Psiforged Body is not a Warforged feat, it is a General feat), than it means you can take more than one. You just have to find a way to do it (i.e. Flaws option).

For roleplaying purposes I see a warforged with the Psiforged Body feat and one of the other Body feats (Adamantine, Ironwood, Mithral, and Unarmored) as a good example of a Psychic Warrior, an armored psionic character.

Also, within the pages of Dragonmarked, there is a new Flaw. Although optional, it gives support to using Flaws in Eberron campaigns.

Actually, I am also questioning this feat. Not that everyone hasn't been helpful, but I did notice in the psychic warrior description it lists under the SQ psicrystal body (2 power points), giving the impression that the psiforged gain the psicrystal body as a bonus ontop of the mithral body taken at first level.
This is further shown with the psion which has a psicrystal body (3 power points).
I, of course, could be mistaken, or the psiforged body was meant to be a bonus for the subrace.

I, of course, could be mistaken, or the psiforged body was meant to be a bonus for the subrace. And like was already said, that is exactly what it was, originally. They changed their minds at the last minute, and didn't think to adjust the stat blocks. Thats all it is.
