| Rageofthemodrons10104-13-08, 10:08 PM | I read Magocrat's Thread on the Balayan Rakshasa and was inspired to make a new (possible) character option: Renegade Inspired. The Inspired of Riedra command armies of slaves, who look upon them as gods incarnate. Their cruel mental efficiency and great psionic power make them powerful opponents. But of the minor humans that are raised to become those lords, some escape. They may feel sympathy for the Kalashtar or slaves, or maybe for a different reason. These renegades are possessed by quori rebel spirits. They then take off as travelers, trying to get as far away from home as possible. While recognized not as true inspired, they are still generally unwelcome by the Kalashtar. Renegade inspired, in game statistics, are referred to by their spirit name. Renegade inspired can be of any alignment. Renegade (Zzel'tor, Xzur, Vezz'ex, or Yszos'ri [quite a mouthful]) Inspired. +2 Wis, -2 Cha, +2 Con (Zzel'tor); +4 Dex, -2 Wis (Xzur); None (Vezz'ex); +4 Cha, -2 Str, +2 Int (Yszos'ri) Medium size Naturally Psionic: All Renegade Inspired receive 1 bonus power point whether or not they take levels in a psionic class. +2 Bonus on Will Saves Psi-like abilities: 1/day (Zzel'tor)- Empty Mind; (Xzur)-Synsethe; (Vezz'ex)- Missive, (Yszosri)- Empathy Languages: Common, Riedran. Bonus Languages: Elven, Draconic, Giant, Quor. Favored Class: Psychic Warrior (Zzel'tor), Lurk (Xzur), Ardent (Vezz'ex), Wilder (Yszos'ri) LA: +1 Feel free to post new comments or Ideas:lightbulb |

To clarify: It's a race with four different sub-races? Have you thought about the LA? One way to go about it is decide if you'd like +0, +1, +2, or higher LA, and then ask for advice on how to make it work. The Races forum (http://forums.gleemax.com/forumdisplay.php?f=18) could probably help with that. |
