Symbionts? [Archive] - Wizards Community

10-28-07, 01:55 AM I'm going to be playing a daelkyr half-blood in a campaign soon. Unfortunately, after perusing the books I can only find about eight symbionts to choose from (and one is an "artifact" so I can't even have it). The way I envision my character, I would be "collecting" them to aid me, almost disdaining normal magic items.

I've already done a search but cannot seem to find more than a single homebrewn symbiont. :( If anyone could point me to a thread I've missed (or even link to another site) it would be much appreciated. :)

11-03-07, 06:08 AM If I remember correctly, those symbiotes from Drag 308, are pretty nasty to the user as well. Every time you use ones abilities you take damage.

11-03-07, 06:55 PM Nah, most of them are -1 per day ability damage, which heals as part of regular rest. To balance it out, they are pretty powerful.

There really hasn't been much in the way of published symbionts, just that issue of Dragon, Magic of Eberron, and the ECS. There was a thread here awhile back about creating your own symbionts that might be useful to you.
