The Darkness [Archive] - Wizards Community

06-15-07, 11:36 AM Anyone familiar with the comic from TopCow? Or the impending video game version thereof?

If so, and purely for kicks and giggles, I was wondering if we could make a uniquely Eberron version of good ol' Jackie.

Mark of Shadow would be appropriate...obviously...though we'd need to be Elven instead of Human.

But I can live with that.

Suggestions?

06-15-07, 06:45 PM Why in the world would he need the Mark of Shadow. Is he an amazing spy? Should the darkness be related to the MoS? I'm asking cuz I don't know the comic but I have read about the game.

From what I've seen shouldn't Jackie be a Boromar Halfling (That's the Eberron mob) who's made some sort of pact with, or been posessed by, some dark power and is now on a vengeance quest through Sharn? Perhaps some Radiant Idol trying to become a god of Darkness and Death?

06-15-07, 07:23 PM No real need for the mark of shadow, hes a shaper / constructor with concealing amorophia and some custom metacreation powers that grant semi sentience to astral constructs, along with Inertial armour. The rest is fluff.

Hmmm thinking about it the patrilinial darkness almost sounds like a Klashitar bloodline dosent it? Jakie lived his early life thinking he was a human before the on set of his powers, learnt he and all the male scions of his linage were host to a fragmented quori spirit, one closely tied to darkness and shadows.

Edit: and to get in before any one else does, beware of players attacking you with force spells if you try playing this build.
they might cast magic missile at the darkness ;)

06-18-07, 01:12 AM Haven't seen the comic, but the upcoming video game looks fantastic. Nothing like a good ol' FPS where you have a pair of black tendrils with big toothy maws that independantly shoot out and bite people's faces off.
