| pool08-21-07, 04:04 AM | i'm trying to work the tarrasque into my campaign, but i don't now how it fits into eberron. where might it's lair be and how many of them are in existance? in the monster manual it says only one, but in some settings there are many. i'm hoping that this is answered in one of the books, but if it isn't just give me your thoughts on the matter. |
| Edymnion08-21-07, 08:41 AM | There are two locations where it might be. 1) At the bottom of a lake in Karrnath, where the Blood of Vol are involved in Project Leviathan to "awaken a great and horrible beast that sleeps at the bottom" of said lake. The description it gives for the power of the monster and its ability to lay waste to the landscape is a dead ringer for the Tarrasque. 2) Sleeping in the waters of Shargon's Teeth, south of Sharn, where the Suhagin (however you spell it) worship it as an incarnation of the Devourer. The first one has the air of the hidden menace in the middle of town to it, where the Tarrasque just appears out of nowhere. The second is freaking Godzilla, so you know exactly how to handle it when he wakes up and heads straight to Tokyo... er I mean Sharn for some devistation. Oddly enough, both require him to be immune to drowning. Probably need to slap the aquatic template on that bad boy. |
| The_Gimp08-21-07, 10:06 AM | Chee-ya! Unleash hell on your players! Why not shoot both at the world at the same time and let the Mournland be their reproducing playground... ;) |
| Revvecor08-21-07, 10:40 AM | I believe SoX hints at the existence of a tarrasque in the southern pole that was trapped by druids. |
| DwarfPcfan08-21-07, 10:49 AM | Just Imagine Tarrasque VS Tarrasque battling it out on the towers of Sharn TOTAL RAMPAGE! :P |
| Revvecor08-21-07, 11:12 AM | Just Imagine Tarrasque VS Tarrasque battling it out on the towers of Sharn TOTAL RAMPAGE! :P And then the becoming god arrives and joins the battle. |

Actually, one of the first posters on the boards created a Living Spell based on Mordenkainen's Disjunction and that creature frightens me more than the Tarrasque does. It be nasty! | Nundahl08-22-07, 07:19 AM | Just Imagine Tarrasque VS Tarrasque battling it out on the towers of Sharn TOTAL RAMPAGE! :P HA! No no no ... As Edy suggested ... Tarrasque raises from the depth's, summoned to life again by the magics of the Sahuagin ... travels through ocean and arrives in Sharn to destroy everything in sight! What hope do the good people of Sharn have? Well of course! A secret project by House Cannith, Tarrasque'forged! MechaTarrasque is the world's only hope! |
| Darakhoranon08-22-07, 08:08 AM | MechaTarrasque piloted by 16 year old girls... |
| TheKeyofE08-22-07, 08:22 AM | "--and I'll form...the HEAD!!" (http://ramblingthoughts.files.wordpress.com/2007/01/voltron.jpg) OR "Robert Smith, her weak point is her nose. Use Robot Punch!" (http://www.planearium2.de/pics/pics-112-6.jpg) |
| OctaviusIII08-22-07, 11:57 AM | What if a Warforged was 500 feet tall (http://video.google.com/videoplay?docid=-6107531536058696657&q=anthology+of+interest&total=47&start=0&num=100&so=0&type=search&plindex=2)? Perhaps it could fight an awakened Tarrasque... (warning: video!) |
| DwarfPcfan08-23-07, 10:50 AM | ... Then the titanic creature, paragon, monster of legend, god blooded butterfly comes along and things get really nasty:P Lol!:heehee |
| Edymnion08-23-07, 12:55 PM | ... Then the titanic creature, paragon, monster of legend, god blooded butterfly comes along and things get really nasty:P Lol!:heeheeHeh, dude, just use the Kaiju template. Much easier. One stop shop to turn any animal into a Godzilla monster. |
| DragoonDarkfire08-23-07, 01:20 PM | Heh, dude, just use the Kaiju template. Much easier. One stop shop to turn any animal into a Godzilla monster. Kaiju template? Where can I find that!? |
| Kid SixXx08-23-07, 01:28 PM | Kaiju template? Where can I find that!? Dragon Magazine #289 (?) has the kaiju template, IIRC. |
| DwarfPcfan08-24-07, 11:36 AM | Heh, dude, just use the Kaiju template. Much easier. One stop shop to turn any animal into a Godzilla monster. Maybe, I have that dragon magazine.... But I find it much more hilarious to spew the titanic, monster of legends, god blooded, paragon creature butterfly (Also it turns out to be a much more powerful beast, thanks to all the bonuses the templates give) And besides, Dragon magazine is technically not RAW if I remember right? |
| Creature_Mastermind08-24-07, 12:00 PM | And besides, Dragon magazine is technically not RAW if I remember right? It say 100% Offical Content right under the number of the magazine so anything you find in them you can use (for the right setting of course). |
| heftyj08-27-07, 01:48 AM | how about a Warforged Tarrasque... Mechazilla! oops I didnt realize somebody already suggested it. |
| Darakhoranon08-28-07, 07:26 AM | If any of you guys gets stupid ideas about using a dragonīs heart to power your "mechatarrasque/warforged tarrasque", think again... |
| Creature_Mastermind08-28-07, 11:18 AM | If any of you guys gets stupid ideas about using a dragonīs heart to power your "mechatarrasque/warforged tarrasque", think again... Well i wouldn't have thought of that until you said something...:shocked:Thanks for saying sonething Dark. |
| Darakhoranon08-30-07, 07:02 AM | Well, in that case, I know about a really strong dragonheart. Now, where was the map... Oh, yes, here it is... Because itīs you, Iīll part with it for only 5000 gp. Itīll show you the way to the hoard of Valathrixuarisitiss. Maybe Iīll finally get rid of that megalomaniacal excuse for a dragon... |
| Creature_Mastermind08-30-07, 04:28 PM | Because itīs you, Iīll part with it for only 5000 gp.
