| Leonidus08-08-07, 02:23 AM | I forget where I read this originally, but I want to say someone, possibly Kieth, gave the idea of the Naga being fallen Couatl. Specifically, they turned against their brethren during the first war, siding with the demons, and so were all made aberrations because of it, banished to the depths of Khyber. Most accepted this, retaining most of their abilities, but the Guardian nagas seek redemption for their misdeeds, protecting abandoned Couatl ruins and other sites. I use this version myself, along with the Hellfire Dragon, a true-dragon breed I devised based on the Hellfire Wyrm from MM2, (mixed with liberal amounts of Warlock casting), which also turned evil, and were banished to Khyber. |
