| Enokh04-18-07, 03:28 AM | How exactly would this be ruled? Does the artificer come with the full ammount of Craft Reserver? Or should a percentage die be rolled to see how much he has? (I'd like to note here that I'm a complete newbie with this stuff) I CAN tell him to -- and what -- to craft, right? Also, what's the ruling on what items/money the Thrall comes to me with? If you'd rather link the source of your answers than type it all out, that's perfectly acceptable. Thanks in advance for any answers. However, on a completely un-related sidenote (I don't want to make a thread just for this), does anyone know a "Fun things with Charm" thread? I'm looking for some hints. |
| Ryoden_Anariavas04-18-07, 10:06 AM | I believe that the amount of equipment that comes with your cohort is up to the DM but there may be something in the DMG section on "Leadership" |
| Dragom04-18-07, 11:06 PM | 1) Probably half of his craft reserve and about half of the XP needed to reach next level. And among other things, yes he could craft though NPC's have little gold and you'd have to pour money into him.. 2) He'd probably have possessions as an NPC of his level. But the DM nearest to the game gets the ruling. I just spout stuff that sounds resonable and hope nothing goes wrong. |
| TheAnthroDM04-19-07, 12:03 AM | Not sure about this, but if you have Magic of Eberron make sure to get yourself a Psionic Artificer. |
| Moosh Nailo04-19-07, 11:20 PM | Why get a psionic artificer, over the normal kind? Is there a benefit I've missed? Just curious. |
| Dragom04-19-07, 11:31 PM | A thrallherd is a psionic character. A Psionic artificer can craft powerstones and dorjes that a thrall herd can use. A Normal artificer can craft scrolls and Wands that a Thrallherd probably can't use. |
| TheAnthroDM04-20-07, 12:30 AM | Thank you Dragom. |
| Moosh Nailo04-22-07, 03:13 PM | Haha I'm dumb. Can't believe that slipped my mind. And yes, I was totally aware that thrallherds are psionic. Thanks. |
