JulesCARV 07-26-07, 12:57 AM	I'm just thinking -- let's say you're a telepath 5/thrallherd 9, and you take a 10th thallherd level. The chances are that you'll be entitled to a level 13 thrall at that point, given how high your thrallherd score will be. This is just getting a second thrall, at the lowes level possible, without having replaced any primary thralls along the way. Here's the issue: how many level 13 characters are there in Eberron are there that'll pack up and come with you? It seems likely that if you call for someone high-level, you might get someone known. For instance, if you ask for a cleric thrall, you might end up enthralling Cardinal Krozen, as one of the few clerics who's high enough level to be your thrall. What are the implications of that for Thranish politics? This is the easy case. What if your primary thrall gets killed beyond the possibility of resurrection when you're level 18, and now you have to get a level 17 thrall? Who answers? Not to mention that, of course, some evil thrallherds casually use their thralls as cannonfodder, confident that another level 12 (or whatever) thrall will show up in 24 hours. How do you think thrallherds would work in a setting with such a scarcity of high-level characters? Or, if you ask for a random cleric thrall, does one show up who was some level 2 cleric before you called him, but who suddenly is empowered by your enthrallment, in a process that has a vague resemblence to psychic chirurgery or psychic reformation?
Vharuck 07-26-07, 01:01 AM	What if you granted non-humanoid thralls? I'd figure out the ECL of the thrall and go with that. An ogre would have no problem getting to ECL 13.
