Definitions first.

I will refer to the Artificer's craft reserve as Reserve Points(Artificer) and to the UA Craft Point variants craft points as....errrr....Craft Points(UA).

Just to reiterate, Reserve Points(Artificer) allow an Artificer to craft without using XP while the Craft Points(UA) variant allows a crafter to use Craft Points(UA) to reduce crafting time via the idea that the crafter has been crafting all along in the background up till now. (This fiction also allows the Craft Point variant to fit with Artificer crafting since during normal crafting he needs to be able to make UMD checks once a day plus that final last ditch effort check.)

So two separate pools of points used for two different things. So far so good.

As far as I can tell, the Craft Points(UA) variant and the Artificer rules also mesh when having helpers and what not although it would reduce the need for a Dedicated Wright it seems.

The only thing I see not meshing well are the extra feats that the Craft Point(UA) variant rules establishes. I refer specifically the Craft Masterwork feats.

I was just curious if anybody had looked at this combination and maybe had any ideas as to how these extra feats would mesh, could be tweaked, or made to fit with the idea that the Artificer as a concept is the Item Creator par excellence and as a result picks up all of the item creation feats to support that idea.

Thanks
