After re-reading my copy of Dragonmarked, I once again have the hankering to play a Gnomish Artificer/Unbound Scroll.

Has anyone played one? I know it looks good on paper, but I'm curious about the opinions of those who have actually field tested it.

Please and thank you!:D

I played a wizard unbound scroll, and he was GRAND! Course this has a lot to do with the fact that NONE of my previous mages had ever been heavy spell users... and so having that many spell options at my fingertips was amazing... but yeah it was fun stuff...

You know I was lookng at it and would love to play one, but I usually end up being the DM.

With a Wizard UbS I'd suggest keeping your prepared spells things you actually need the high save DCs for with your scrolls being all utility things that save wont matter much on.

Though I'll tell you if I ever get the chance and can convince one of my gaming buddies this is a good idea... best character duo ever would be a Unbound Scroll and a Cannith Wand Adept in the same party. Always trying to top each other. It'd be hilarious.

well, that and with the wand guy being a forged, and the unbound scroll being the guy who owns or 'built' him, it could be the man bites dog thingy.

very unconventional
