Vampiric Regeneration for WFs [Archive] - Wizards Community

Has anyone explored spells or items that would repair WFs as they damage others?Vampiric healing would work on the WF the same as anything else. Its only the healing subschool that gets halved. There are numerous differant vampiric weapon abilities out there. Just get an amulet of mighty fists (or one of the natural weapon augmenters), add vampiric, and turn it into an embedded component (like the various disks), and boom, you've got a WF that can grab things and suck the life out of them while feeding off the energy.

Take whatever the bite feat out of RoE was, use the same item, and you've got a WF that can drain victims with a bite, just like a vampire.

I am curious because if I can control the WF's hit point loss I can be less concerned about defenses and concentrate his feat selection around doing the most damage. In short, the old best defense is a good offense trick.

06-03-07, 03:03 PM But current vampiric abilities don't heal damage, they just grant temporary hitpoints, and as written, they work at full power for WF just like they do everyone else.

In fact, I can't think of any printed weapon based way of restoring hitpoints that wouldn't work normally for a Warforged.

Psionic power (the psionics equivalent of spells); it's in the Expanded Psionics Handbook. There's also a neutered version in Complete Psionics, but it's hardly worth mentioning. Its effect is listed at d20srd.org, I'd link it, but it's apparently blocked at my job (unlike, apparently, the wizards.com forums).
