War of the Classes [Archive] - Wizards Community

02-16-07, 11:43 PM Here it is the question everyone fights over. What's your favorite class, prestige class, or cross-class combination? To start this off, it's not my favorite, but it was fun and it worked well for me. A barbarian 1st level, martial 9th level (MH), and prestige class into singh rager (OA)

Anyways, I like playing the Cleric, especially one's with cool Gods, like the Eberron Gods! :D

02-21-07, 12:16 PM For me, going by Eberron flavor, my new favourite class is the factotum from dungeonscape. It just seems like the perfect Eberron class, an explorer who can do a little bit of everything, kinda Indiana Jones like.

02-22-07, 12:08 PM My personal favorite: Psion (kineticist)/Cleric (Domains Healing/Mind)/Psychic Theurge. Add Augment Healing and a couple of metapsionic feats, and there isn't much that it CAN'T do. Other than arcane magic....but who needs it with this combo?

I do that with a fighter/rogue, by level 5 you've got enough skill points from the rogue levels that you can easily make an Indiana Jones. I can't wait to hit 6th level and pick up the "relic hunter" feat from RoE, it'll really turn my little gobbo into a Dr Jones.

02-22-07, 03:59 PM I have to say the soulknife, out of sheer awesomeness, might be my favorite psionic class, but when in doubt, the spellthief is still equally cool.

Nope, nobody but me ever seems to ever play those either. I swear, the other players in the games I'm in are kinda on the tame side when it comes to making characters with personality.

Yeah there is usualy one or two...but you seemed to get 'lucky' and find a group full.

Are they perhaps science teachers? :)

02-24-07, 02:56 PM If the other DM in my group who runs Eberron gets back to it, I want to finally hit my PrC (curse his short attention span). Changeling Rogue 4/Urban Ranger 1 and hoping to actually get a Chameleon level someday. My next Eberron character is going to be (hopefully) a fighter/swashbuckler/storm sentry.
