11-10-07, 07:04 PM What happens if a warforged falls in a black pudding?
According to the acid ability "any melee hit or constrict attack deals acid damage, and the opponent’s armor and clothing dissolve and become useless immediately unless they succeed on DC 21 Reflex saves", what happens to a warforged? he takes normal damage, more damage, loses armor and gain unarmored body or get istantly slain?

IMO, treat it the same as a rust monster.

11-11-07, 04:00 AM Warforged don't have armor, they only have an armor bonus to AC. By RAW, absolutely nothing happens to that.

As a GM, I'd have the Black Pudding reduce the WF's armor bonus to Zero until he gets repaired (costing as much as repairing/replacing an equivalent armor).

11-11-07, 04:16 AM I agree with Edymnion, treat it the same as a rust monster attack.

11-11-07, 01:22 PM Yes, we already have an entry for "When monster X hits a WF with attack Y that normally destroys armor in one hit, the WF instead takes 2d6 points of damage." Since the only real difference between a black pudding and a rust monster is that one has the flavor description of "rust" attached to it's attack, and the other has the flavor description of "acid", they're pretty much the same thing.
