I thinks its pretty obvious that its a racial thing, not a classed based thing. I know you wouldn't want to be a sorc or wiz running around in mithral or adam armor but you could if you wanted to right? My character has Adamantine armor, but his class isn't proficeint in it... can I still take it without penalty? |

| turalisj06-22-07, 03:54 AM | I don't know.... If a character has a claw attack, is he proficient with it? Providing stupid answers to stupid questions since '04! |
| The White Sorcerer06-22-07, 04:15 AM | If a warforged character takes adamantine body, is he assumed to automatically be proficient in it, right? Doesn't matter, since Adamantine Body (or any other body feat) doesn't give you an armor check penalty. |
| Cifer06-22-07, 05:49 AM | White Sorcerer is... correct! A warforged's plating hasn't got an armor check penalty - it's just got a penalty that is applied to every skill where an ACP would usually apply to. This difference has two effects: -no penalty on attack rolls for not being proficient -no doubled penalty on swim checks |
| Edymnion06-22-07, 04:21 PM | And one more nail in the proverbial coffin, admantine body is a FEAT, it is not physical armor. Its +X to AC, -Y to a handfull of skills, that prevents some class abilities from working. Thats it. |
