| zibibbo02-23-07, 06:54 PM | does a 3rd level juggernaut healing immunity prevent him from being restored to life by spells as raise dead or resurrection? immunity from mind-affecting spells and abilities gained at 3rd level makes him immune to effects like cursespewing (bovd) that confers a -4 morale penalty? immunity to necromancy effects means that it immune to necromancy school? |
| RogueElement02-23-07, 06:58 PM | 1. no, check out the errata page on Wizards.com 2. yes, any mind affecting effect (see the PHB and DMG for precise definition) 3. yes, any necromantic effect |
| Cifer02-23-07, 07:52 PM | What RogueElement said. An addition might be that the Errata says that 3rd level precludes any HP restoring healing school effects while 5th level immunizes him to all healing subschool effects. It's contested whether it's possible to revive 5th-level juggernauts. There are basically three opinions: 1. No, not at all. 2. Yes, but you need to cast Humanoid Essence from Magic of Eberron on the corp- er, wreck so healing spells can affect it. <- my opinion 3. Yes, without any problems because the spell aims on the soul of the character which has no class levels as long as its dead. |

Yes, but you need to cast Humanoid Essence from Magic of Eberron on the corp- er, wreck so healing spells can affect it. <- my opinion Note that casting spells on a corpse in order to affect it is greatly problematic, rules-wise. A corpse is not a creature, but an object -- spells that target creatures aren't supposed to even work on them at all. (You cannot, for instance, do damage to someone's corpse and rip it apart by casting magic missile on it.) Raise dead and so on seem to be, more or less, exceptions to this rule, which is why I favor option 1) -- these spells are exceptions by nature by blurring the line between "dead thing" and "living creature". |
| tahjn02-25-07, 09:47 PM | Does the fifth level Juggernaut immunities rend him immune to thinngs like Rays of Enfeeblement? Also is he immune to effects such as Cause Minor(etc) Wounds? I wonder about the Ray of Enfeeblement because my Warforged Juggernaut(5 levels of the class) was effected by the spell and I argued with the DM over it. Just wondering who was right. |

Both necromantic effects, so you're right; the WF should be immune. |
| tahjn02-26-07, 05:15 PM | So the next time my DM tries to say my Juggernaut is effected by those particular effects I need to call shennanigans on it? |
