| phreakyhamster06-25-07, 06:17 PM | Hey all, I'm trying to find a nice miniature for a few warforged!? I am DM'ing a game with a lot of warforged, so I want to have ... say 10 warforged miniatures to enhance the game experience. I tried looking at a lot of brands for miniatures, but couldn't find any really to my taste. Does someone know nice miniatures for warforged? |
| Nevarre06-25-07, 06:30 PM | The easiest ones to find are those in the D&D miniatures game. (hint: search on ebay for warforged) |
| darkdragonk06-25-07, 07:38 PM | Yeah, I think there are 4 warforged in the DDM sets. A wizard, a fighter with a hammer, a captain with some axe-like thing, and I think a scout/rouge. With a few repaints and easy modifications you could easily have 10 semi-unique(sp?) warforged |
| Warforged Goblin06-26-07, 07:38 AM | There's far more than 4 warforged miniatures. Also, the generic constructs and heavily armored minis can help you fill out the ranks of your 'forged NPCs. www.paizo.com is a great place to pick up singles. Here's what I could find: Aberrations - Warforged Hero (Very nice mini, btw) Angelfire - Spiker Champion Blood War - Hammerer, Kolyarut, Lord of Blades, Maug Deathknell - Warforged Wizard Giants of Legend - Bladeling Fighter, Sword of Glory, Warforged Fighter, Warforged Titan Underdark - Iron Golem, Royal Guard Unhallowed - Blood Golem of Hextor, Shield Guardian War Dums - Axe Soldier, Warforged Barbarian, Warforged Bodyguard, Warforged Captain, Warforged Scout War of the Dragon Queen - Aasimar Fighter, Cadaver Collector Hope this helps. |

As for the DDMs, except for the WF Wizard, I find that their WF mini sculpts pretty much suck, across the board. They look like iron plated gorillas more than they do WF. Also, don't be afraid to buy some greenstuff and get into, if not modelling your own minis from scratch, then modifying existing ones. |

I've been waiting on Reaper to do a knock-off Warforged since Eberron came out. I can *FINALLY* make some decent WF minis now! |
| mhacdebhandia06-26-07, 08:29 PM | Ironically, that looks more like an armoured gorilla than a warforged. ;) It's good that Reaper's caught up, though. |

I can file off some of the pointy bits along the lower ribcage area, file down the codpiece plate, etc, and make it look much more like a WF. Use some greenstuff to give wood fiber bundles, that sort of thing. |
| Kinger06-26-07, 10:11 PM | I just took a peek at a few of the recent Reaper miniatures, and I'd have to say that most of the heavily armoured sorts would work just fine as Warforged given a bit of paint and very minor sculpting. Alustan Nightbreaker, 3199 (http://www.reapermini.com/gallery/album30/3204_G), at least. |

WF Wizard was one of the key selling point images for the Eberron setting in the search, if memory serves. |
| DBlizzard06-29-07, 04:11 PM | Some of the Mage Knight golems make reasonable warforged figures, although most work best as warforged prototypes (ala Warforged Titan, Warforged Charger). They are pretty cheap on eBay, for the most part. Just pop them off tehir bases and remount them. Whirling Golem (http://www.wizkidsgames.com/images/figures/Rotating/MKLA/MKLA_002.gif) Infantry Golem (http://www.wizkidsgames.com/images/figures/Rotating/MKMK/MKMK_007_rot01.jpg) MNaelstrom Golelm (http://www.wizkidsgames.com/images/figures/Rotating/MKNX/MKNX_008.jpg) Submersible Golem (http://www.wizkidsgames.com/images/figures/Rotating/MKNX/MKNX_011.jpg) Fighting Automaton (http://www.wizkidsgames.com/images/figures/Rotating/MKSI/MKSI_004.gif) Scouting Automaton (http://www.wizkidsgames.com/images/figures/Rotating/MKSI/MKSI_001.gif) This (http://www.wizkidsgames.com/images/figures/Rotating/MKDR/MKDR_089.jpg) would make a good warforged raptor (from Fow). |
