Not positive that this is the perfect place for this thread, but here goes nothing...

I dig most of the pre-painted WF miniatures that have been released thus far; however, as a Warhammer vet, I love to customize my figures. Anyone know of other minis that could be converted to look like Warforged?

There's a fairly new figure released by Reaper (I believe) that looks very much like a warforged, wouldn't take too much work to convert over.

Otherwise the only other option I know of is Reaper has had (at one point) humanoid frames you can put putty over to make how you want.

Sorry don't know of too much else to work with.

I just end up sculpting my own though.

You might try some of the FASA minis.. or the Warhammer set as both have mechanical automatons and mecha like creatures.

I'm not saying it's absolutely perfect the way it looks, but it's an easy start for modifying a mini.

I'm not saying it's absolutely perfect the way it looks, but it's an easy start for modifying a mini.It requires a *LOT* of grinding, what with all those giant points on the armor plates. I considered getting a few, but decided it wasn't worth the trouble to cut their heads and arms off and either sculpt a body or do the same to another heavy armor mini and pin it all back together.

Seriously, the head, forearms, and hands are spot on perfect. The rest of the mini is just junk. And I don't mean that because its not warforged-ish, I mean its just a plain bad design for anything.

Thanks for all the suggestions! I'm having trouble finding the above mentioned Reaper mini. Is this the one?

Not fond of the head.

Yeah that's it, try their site to get it if it's not in your local stores.

Yeah, thats it.
See? The head and forearms/hands are the only salvageable parts (IMO).

I agree w/ E. Is that a high collar stemming from the torso armor or curving horns? It might work well for a higher level baddie warforged npc. Me thinks I'm better off converting the hell out of an Overlord warrior or something as I prefer the "skinny warforged" look.

Thanks for everyone's help. All suggestions are still sought after.

Found an overlord warrior pack with swords and shields, and these nice skirt things. Minimum modding required, and it was a WF Paladin of the Silver Flame in no time.

You don't happen to have a picture of that mini, do you, Edymnion?
I'm thinking about playing a 'forged as a new character and any ideas for minis are welcome...

Thanx in advance,
Bowen

Along with two of my less than stellar from scratch sculpts (male and female build WFs) and a conversion of Reaper's Onyx Golem into a WF.
