The FAQ says yes, and since I have not dug deeply into the issue, I'll default to that.

Yes, why wouldn't they?

Remember, unless the racial description specifically says they are different, Warforged are the same as any other race.

The problem comes down to the weapon affecting Living Creatures (which includes Warforged) but not affecting Constructs (which ALSO includes warforged). You just have to decide which takes precedence.

Personally, I'd rule that Construct is more specific than Living Creature, so "does not affect constructs" serves as an exception to "affects living creatures," making Warforged immune to Brilliant Energy weapons.

But that's just me. You're free to side with the FAQ if you want, though be aware of its many controversial rulings in the past.

As for the incorporeal thing? Yeah, I'm pretty sure they're still vulnerable to that. Most incorporeal stuff deals Negative Energy or Ability Damage, which ordinairy constructs are immune to. Warforged, however, are not (barring Juggernaut class levels, etc).

05-30-07, 07:14 PM Ok so let's assume that they're affected by both normally. If a warforged takes the mithril body or adamantine body feat is this considered part of the warforged? Or in otherwords, do they retain their enhanced AC provided by the feats when attacked under such circumstances?

It would only makes sense that if a brilliant weapon or incorporeal touch won't pass through the WF (and thus is capable of harming them) then they can't passthrough/bypass the armor provided by these feats.

05-30-07, 07:51 PM Well, by the rules, I'm pretty sure Brilliant Energy and incorporeal touch attack ignore Armor bonuses from non-force sources. Your platemail does nothing, but Mage Armor does. Composite plating grants an armor bonus to AC, but isn't a force effect, ergo it does nothing. Still, we're already in a "make-up-the-rules-yourself" situation, though, so if you want to give Warforged an armor bonus against Brilliant Energy, it has a bit of support (Natural Armor works against BE, doesn't it?). Incorporeal? Not so much.

Is a Warforged with the Adamantium body feat, considered an Adamantium weapon when punching/bull rushing etc, for the purposes of damage reduction and overcoming hardness?

If anyone can ref the relevant ruling that would be great.

05-31-07, 08:19 AM Officially, no. However I've have seen a feat somewhere on the boards that is basically Adamantine Tracery, for which Adamantine Body is required. Dm's permission is needed of course. It allows the WF to treat it's natural attacks as Adamantine and includes the ability to bypass hardness.
