What is the monster on the cover of Explorer's Handbook? [Archive] - Wizards Community

12-01-07, 06:50 AM Hey, I'm very very new to Eberron, and I have recently seen the cover of Explorer's Handbook, and I found the monsters fighting the party on the cover pretty cool.

Could someone say what monster is that and where I can find info about it?

12-01-07, 06:54 AM Those should be Sahuagin (if you're asking about the shark like people). You can find info about them in the Monster Manual. Also there are some tidbits of information in ECS (specifically about Sahuagin in Eberron).

12-01-07, 09:13 AM Sahuagin are pretty crazy like that. There's the standard versions, the mutants with 4 arms, and the OTHER mutants that happen to look like a member of another race (called Malenti). I forget how it's handled in Eberron, but malenti can look like other things besides elves (the default in the MM).
