Anyone know if this subject has been covered in any book yet? I haven't been able to find it in my searchings. And help would be welcomed.

Thank you in advanced.

I don't believe any rulebook has covered it, but in City of Towers (the novel) there is someone with a psychic sinew. I would expect the ones that are alive (as opposed to undead or fiendish) are yet more tools of the Daelkir. Undead ones could derive either from the cult of the Keeper, or perhaps Vol's experiments (this doesn't strike me as fitting mainstream Karrn Blood of Vol practice). Fiendish symbionts are a slightly bigger problem, as demons and devils are not especially interested in the material plane, being busy in Shavarrath. Produced by Mordain the Fleshweaver, perhaps? Why restrict yourself to shaping the flesh of mortals, when there's a multiverse of experimental subjects?

There's plenty of fiends in places other than Shavarrath. Not only do the populate a handful of other planes (notably Dolurrh, Mabar, Fernia, and Risia), but there's a pretty large number right on the material plane. Hellcow's even mentioned that in his campaigns -though it's unofficial-, the Material Plane has its share of non-Rakshasa fiends, as well; it's just that Rakshasa are the most common and well-known.
