If you're a fighter, you can use anything in the Players handbook listed as a martial or simple weapon. They're all pretty well balanced against each other.

What sort of weapon do you see your character as using? Sword? Axe?
If you really aren't sure, go with Longsword. Its the most general weapon and has no real downsides.

I'd suggest opening your PHB and looking into the table "one-handed martial weapons". As Captain said, the weapons there are relatively balanced, so it's mainly a question of your preferred method of critical (higher threat range or higher multiplier) and your general style.

Also, I'd suggest improving your orthography. It makes finding out what you want much easier.

Longsword.

The sword family of weapons(short, long, bastard and great) give you the most bang for your buck.

Does it have to be one handed? You don't sound as if you have a character concept locked in, so you're better off with something two handed like a greatsword. Bastard Swords suck, don't bother with those.

It seems that your fighter would be well served by a strunkenwhite. In fact, it may be the only weapon he'll ever need.

Assuming that you're primarily a strength-based fighter, a longsword, battleaxe, or warhammer are the primary choices. You can also choose the scimitar if you prefer lower average damage but more frequent criticals.

If you're a fighter then you can use any armor or shield. In general you'll want a heavy shield, and the highest AC armor you can afford at any given time. At 1st level this usually means scale mail or a chain shirt, though you might be able to manage chainmail if you've got a lot of money.

one handed - longsword or scimitar

two handed - great sword.
