I did this with my Lurk, as he is wealthy and doesnt like to carry a lot of stuff. The 3 pockets of the haversack give you a good inside pocket (the hichlander pocket for swords and such), and 2 outside pockets for other quick access items. Plus it saves time when you dont have to fumble fore things, or open a pack. So yeah, basically it is just a coat with enchanted pockets, and functions as a HHH, without having to carry a pack.

Sounds something like the second edition Deep Pockets spell effect applied to a great coat. It's a good idea, but I would change the size and shape of the internal spaces so that they would make more sense as the pockets of a great coat with extra-dimensional pockets.

That's a good idea too. The reason i started with the handy haversack is the sorting properties. No fumbling in the pockets for anything. Ant the Highlander pocket for sword storing is what started the whole idea. Kinda campy, but a lot of the best ideas start like that.

It sounds more like the Belt of Many Pouches from Complete Arcane in Greatcoat form..

A belt with lots of small extra-dimensional spaces with the openings layered over each other..

So one pocket could open up to a handful of "pockets"

I think it's a great idea ... after all, who didn't think this guy (http://www.wizards.com/dnd/images/dmg2_gallery/90035.jpg) *belongs* in Eberron!!

It makes perfect sense that he's wearing your item.... :)

Was I the only one that read it and thought "hmm, Silent Bob"?
