| Edymnion11-20-07, 10:20 PM | Dunno, doesn't sound like anything thats in Eberron that I can think of off the top of my head. But I do remember reading a description of a material thats supposed to always be dewy that bypasses DR like you described. I'd try checking the Faerun books, and the Arms & Equipment Guide. |
| larry_the_titan11-21-07, 01:18 PM | I don't have my books handy but to my knowledge I don't remember anything like this in Eberron specific books. Though I do remember something about a magical Enchantment in Tome of magic: Shadow Magic section, which after enchanted weapon strikes an opponent with DR/... the weapon changes the that so it can bypass the DR requirement. |
| RedRider11-21-07, 01:24 PM | I don't recall that being in any Eberron book or the Arms and Equipment guide. Try the 3.5 Planar Handbook. |
| Waysider11-23-07, 08:53 PM | It's on page 141 of Magic of Eberron. |
| Elderich12-03-07, 04:30 PM | It's on page 141 of Magic of Eberron.So how did you know that? |
| Jebin12-04-07, 04:09 AM | Just a note I thought I'd point out, the only thing this material does for a weapon is make it count as a magic weapon against fire types even if it is unenchanted. This will not break DR on fire elementals for example which have /- DR, but the example in the book gives an example of /Magic DR being penetrated by an unenchanted blade. When I first read this post I was excited thinking I'd find something to break elemental DR, but no such luck :( So, unless your weapon's aren't enchanted, there's not much use to it. |
