I was looking at the Blade of Orien PrC in Dragonmarked and instantly I found the class an interesting concept to try. So I was trying to think of a character class to take until I was able to qualify for Blade of Orien and I came up with the class. The concept of the classes fit because Blades of Orien are all about moving and thats what scouts do.

Now here is my question, by using the prime ability of the Blade of Orien, their dimensional leap power, would that qualify for moving so one could do skirmish damage?

I don't think the Skirmish ability discriminates in regards to how you move (on foot, flying- magical or otherwise, mounted, teleporting) so long as you moved 10 feet. So if you used the Swift Leap ability (counts as a move action) and moved 10 feet, then yes, you would be able to attack and potentially add Skirmish damage with your standard action.

Via errata, Skirmish does not apply when mounted. Other than that, you're spot on.

Considering that the PrC even mentions that its a popular choice for Scouts I think its safe to assume that you can.

I'd say yes. Skirmish always seemed to me to be about the fact that you weren't where you were a moment ago.

So, Teleporting should probably make it work even better.

Curse you errata!

When I think about it though, that would make it pretty powerful when combined with mounted prestige classes like Halfling Outrider and Wild Plains Outrider, where you get a full attack even after movement.

I figure that's pretty much it, yeah. Of course, there's still Greater Manyshot ...

Dragonmarked. Every house got its own specialty Prestige Class (fear the Black Dogs).

Thanks. So the Dragonmarks are different houses, and they have a Prc associated with it? I guess I will check this book out!:)

There are several PRCs associated with the Dragonmarks and the Dragonmarked houses. The Dragonmarked book only has some of them.
