Is a Daelkyr Half-Blood who has the Tentacle Whip Symbiont on one arm considered to have a 'free hand for casting' (With that hand). The symbiont says it attaches at the forearm. It also says you can't wield a weapon or shield in that hand, but that you can make unarmed strikes with the hand. It's a little ambiguous and seems like it could go either way.

Also would this work with Arcane Channeling for a duskblade? For example, use the free hand to cast and channel the spell through the tentacle whip.

Actually the tentacle whip has the ability to already channel touch attacks through it. so no need for duskbalde.

Well the question still applies: Does using the tentacle whip allow that hand to be considered free for casting?

Given that the Tentacle Whip attaches at the wrist, there is no reason for the hand to not function in a spell casting ritual or for that matter any action with the hand that would not be blocked by the Tentacle Whips' movement should be able to be performed normally.
