All of these items are constructed using the guidelines in the DMG. When I DM, I allow all of them in my game, and if you want me too, I'll be more than willing to discuss each item in turn with your DM, if he wants the advice fo the person who made them.

Welcome, welcome to my humble workbench! I'm sure you've heard of me throughout Sharn! I am, if I must say so myself one of the best purveyors of fine magical goods you'll meet, for adventuring! Me name is Mith. Aye. A warforged artificer, and no mistake. Now step on into my showroom here, and let me show you around.

Ah yes. The first room be the armor room. For those of you softlings as don't wear yer armor bolted to yer body. I make all kinds of armor, work with any special materials. But I have a few items here, of my own invention. Look for yourself.

New Armor Properties:
Lesser Ease: +3300 gp (Reduce Armor Check Penalty by 1)
Ease +9400 gp (Reduce Armor Check Penalty by 2)
Greater Ease +20,700 gp (Reduce Armor Check Penalty by 3)
Moderate Transmutation; CL 5th; Craft Magical Arms and Armor, Iron Silence

New Unique Armors:
Golemskin. This item is not so much an armor, as a development of living constructs that can apply to anyone. A pool of liquid mithril, it flows up and over the bearer when 'worn'. A golemskin offers a +5 armor bonus to AC, as well as immunity to critical hits and sneak attacks. The wearer doesn't need to eat or drink or even breathe while wearing this second skin. Golemskin has no arcane spell failure chance, and has a mixmum dexterity bonus of +6. It takes up a slot as a robe. In an anti-magic field, or if rendered un-magical, Golemskin, like a warforged, has some resistance, though in this case, the resistance is not total. The armor bonus secreases to +4, and it gains a spell failure chance of 10%, as the skin stiffens. The wearer is also fully vulnerable to critical hits, and the need for sustenance in such conditions.
Strong Enchantment; CL 13th; Craft Magical Arms and Armor, Limited Wish or Miracle; Price: 92,100 gp.

Golemskins with a better enhancement bonus are avaliable, for a higher price. [+6 armor bonus 105,100 (CL 13) / +7 armor bonus 114,100 (CL 13) / +8 armor bonus 123,100 (CL 13)]

Darn spiffy, ain't they? Ah, armor's not your bag. I can see that, true enough. Well, walk with me, then and we'll see if we can't find something more to your liking. Ah yes. Well, this room is for the 'Forged, like meself. But still, maybe you've a friend as can use them?

Claws of the Mole (Attached Component). This pair of metal claws attach over and around the hands of a warforged. The warforged gains a burrow speed of 30 feet, and two claws attack that do d8 damage as a natural weapon. This replaces the slam attack all warforged recieve. The warforged can still use his hands as normal, though people may (understandable) not wish to shake hands with someone whose hands are surrounded by glinting metal claws. The warforged may not may claw attacks, if holding something in a clawed hand. This item takes up the gloves slot. Light Enchantment; CL 5th;Craft Magical Arms and Armor, Craft Wonderous Items, Burrow, Claws of the Bear; Price: 24,000 gp

Fins of the Fish (Attached Component). This set of fins and attachments for the legs of a warforged are of verdigrissed brass and leather. When worn, they allow the warforged to gain a swim speed of 30. (20 if under the effects of a heavy loard, or in heavy armor). This grants the warforged all the normal benefits of a swim speed while worn. This items takes up the 'boots' slot. Light Enchantment; CL 5th;Craft Magical Arms and Armor, Craft Wonderous Items, Swim; Price: 18,000 gp

Essence of Invigoration (Embedded Component). Originally designed for 'repurposed' warforged, after a house Cannith member complained about 'that aweful clanking' of the warforged who accompanied them, this item is quite popular today, both for it's original purpose (Helping to aleviate the difficulties of having permanant, unremovable armor) and by enterprising warforged rogues, who use it to enjoy a hefty increase in mobility. While the Essence of Invigoration is Embedded (taking up the amulet slot) the warforged wearing it gains a +5 competance bonus to Balance, Climb, Escape Artist, Hide, Jump, Move Silently, Sleight of Hand, Swim, and Tumble checks. In addition, the warforged gains a 10 foot enhancement bonus to their speed.
Light Enchantment; CL 5th;Craft Magical Arms and Armor, Craft Wonderous Items, Longstrider, Iron Silence; Price: 12,875 gp

Still not interested, eh? Well, this next room is chock full o items every adventurer finds themselves need'n on a daily basis. May not be glamorous, but they make an adventuring life a great deal easier.

Tossing Bottle. This small, empty glass bottle is otherwise unremarkable, except that has a rune engraved on the bottom for "Far" in draconic. When thrown as a standard action, the bottle (and it's contents) can be thrown up to 100 feet away without penalty, as a normal (ranged touch) attack. Light Enchantment; CL 3rd; Craft Wonderous Items, Launch Item; Price: 25 gp

Useful Torch. This small stone burns with a faint blue light. When picked up, it begins to orbit the head of the character who bears it, casting light as a torch. Light Enchantment; CL 3rd; Continual Light and a dull grey Ioun Stone; Price: 125 gp

Everful Flask. This small silver flask automatically refills itself with fresh water (up to 4 gallons a day) whenever any of it's contents are drunk or poured out. Light Enchantment; CL 3rd; Craft Wonderous Item, Create Water; Price: 400 gp

StayGood Berry. This is a small berry, wrapped and alchemically sealed to withstand the ravages of time. Eating one provides enough nutrition for a day, and the eater heals 1 hit point of damage. Eating more than one in the same day has no effect (except to make the eater /really/ full). Light Enchantment; CL 1st;Goodberry and five ranks in alchemy; Cost: 5 gp

Home Away From Home. This is a tiny statuette of a cottage. Once per day, the bearer may set the statuette on the ground, and say the command word (Engraven on the bottom of the figurine) and it will grow and blend with it's surroundings (As Leomund's Hidden Lodge). The same command word causes it to shrink to statuette form again. Moderate Enchantment; CL 9th; Craft Wonderous Item, Leomund's Hidden Lodge; Cost: 16,200 gp

And this last one? Oh, that's something I've been working on for those Vadalis fellers. Handy, very handy. Just uh, don't let on to the elflings that someone's twigged to their secrets, you know?

Courser's Reins. This set of light reins is made from braided silk and silver. Once per day, with the proper command word it invigorates the mount wearing it with the undying essence of a mighty steed. For the next eight hours, the animal gains a +30 enhancement bonus to land speed, the benefits of the run feat (or if it already has the feat, increases the multiple by 1) and the ability to hustle without becoming fatigued or taking any damage. At the end of the eight hour period, or if the reins are removed from the animal, the animal immediately becomes fatigued. Moderate Enchantment; CL 8th; Craft Wonderous Item, Spirit Steed, Creator must be able to channel positive energy, Creator must be an Elf; Cost: 12,800 gp

Ah. So yer not looking to rough it, are ye? Ah well. Understandable. Don't leave the city myself, don't ye know. Well, there's a few more items as you might be interested in, all the same. Right this way, past the potions ... oh yes. Quite a few potions here, from cures to curses. Let me show you a few special ones ...

Oil of Elemental Power (Weapon of Energy) 750 gp, CL 5
Potion of Bat-blood (Blindsight) 750 gp, CL 5
Potion of Fury (Blood Frenzy) 300 gp, CL 3
Potion of Construct Logic (Mechanus Mind) 300 gp, CL 3
Potion of Protection (Spell Immunity, Lesser) 300 gp, CL 3

Anyway. Where was I? Oh yes. Weapons. Weapons you want, and weapons we have. I'm sadly low on melee weapons, but I'll be happy to make one to order, with whatever enchantments ye choose to confound your enemies and amaze your friends. At the moment, I have a few nice ranged choices in stock, though. Sometime, when we have more time, I'll tell ye the ballad of Spellbreaker and Spellbane. Brings a tear to me eye, it always do.

Spellbreaker's Triumph. This masterwork arrow has a powerful enchantment woven within, the bane of many spellcasters. Should it hit it's target, the target takes d12 damage for each level of each spell or spell-like ability currently affecting it (max 25d12, will DC 17 for half). If this will save is failed, the target must then make a fortitude save (DC 17) or else be dazed for d6 rounds. Moderate Enchantment; CL 9th; Craft Magical Arms and Armor, Reciprocal Gyre; Cost: 2,250 gp

Spellbane's Retort. This +1, Magebane Light crossbow is far more lethal than it's humble appearance seems. In addition to it's normal properties, 3/day it can fire a Spellslayer Bolt. In addition to it's normal damage, a spellslayer bolt does an additional d4 damage to the target for each ongoing spell currently in effect on that target, if it hits. This effect offers no save, but spell resistance applies. Moderate Enchantment; CL 5th; Craft Magical Arms and Armor, Dispel Magic, Spellslayer Arrow; Cost: 17,935 gp

Raksha's Requiem. These two bolt cases are covered with the symbols of the Silver Flame. Inside are 20 +1, Evil Outsider Bane, Chaotic Outsider Bane flametouched crossbow bolts. Ordered, but then the guy came back in, with a strange look in his eyes and cancelled. Moderate Enchantment; CL 5th; Craft Magical Arms and Armor, Summon Monster 1; Cost: 7,600 gp

Ah ... yes. I can see that you've got a weapon. And a nice shiny assassin's dagger it ... erk. I mean, magical dagger. Generic magical dagger. Yes. Ah. So you're here for /that/ then? Alright.

Ring of the Mage. This ornate golden ring, with a shimmering gemstone set into it allows anyone who is capable of casting arcane spells to access the effects of Prestidigitation at will. Heavy Enchantment, CL 12th; Forge Ring, Prestidigitation; Cost: 900 gp

No, no! I can explain, look! The panel slides away like ... yes. I thought they trained you people to be observant? Anyway, here are some items /you/ might be interested in.

Ring of Discretion. This dull grey metal band is entirely unremarkable, and unmarked. Anyone who wears this ring is treated as if continually under the effects of Undiscernable Alignment. Heavy Enchantment, CL 12th; Forge Ring, Undetectable Alignment; Cost: 1,000 gp

Breaking and Entering Stone. This small, black metal panel is a circle, small enough to be easily hid in the palm of the hand. When it is stuck to a door or a window, the door or window or chosen may be opened utterly silently, regardless of age, rust or construction. It can be easily unstuck by the owner, and bears no weight, though it sticks well enough to avoid the pull of gravity, if left alone. Light Enchantment, CL 3rd; Craft Wonderous Item, Silent Portal, Stick; Cost: 2,000 gp

Tattoo Sheath. This item may not be removed or stolen, without several grisly hours at an artificer's workbench and the body of the last person to bear it. It appears to be a small tattoo of an empty scabbard, in black. When the bearer wishes, he may, as a standard action, will any weapon he is touching (and no one else is) into the tattoo. The weapon is stored there, without harm to the tattoo bearer indefinately, and tha tatto changes, to resemble the shape of the weapon. Another thought, and the same amount of effort as is involved in drawing a normal weapon lets the bearer summon the weapon to his hand again. If this is used as part of a feint in combat, the bearer gains a +4 bonus on his feint. This item does not take up a body slot. Light Enchantment, CL 3rd; Craft Wonderous Item, Tattoo Magic Absorb Weapon; Cost: 24,000 gp

And how will you be paying? ... You know. You're not the first to try that. And so ... VINGARDIA! ... Yes. Robbing an artificer in his own shop is very unwise, my friend. Let me show you something I've invented. Im sure, from your position, you can appreciate, now.

New Item Type: Elemental Sceptre. Elemental Sceptres are spell trigger items, which can be used at will (as a standard action, like all spell trigger items). They /only/ come in first level spells, and only in spells with an elemental descriptor. Creating them requires CL 5 and both Craft Wand and Craft Wonderous Item. They are made by combining the unending energy of an Eberron shard with the remains of a shattered or broken Khyber shard whcih has once held an elemental. Though limited to simple elemental effects, spellcasters often appreciate them as an option to carrying around the unstylish crossbow for when they are either unable or unwilling to release a spell of their own.

Sceptre of Shock (Lesser) 1,500 gp, CL 1 (Lesser Orb of Elec)
1d8 electricity damage on a sucessful ranged touch attack

Sceptre of Frost 4,500 gp CL 3 (Lesser Orb of Frost)
2d8 cold damage on a sucessful ranged touch attack

Sceptre of Fire (Greater) 10,500 gp CL 7 (Lesser Orb of Fire)
4d8 fire damage on a sucessful ranged touch attack

That's right! Run while ye can, ye daft git! And tell yer boss the next time he sends tossers like you to send ones with half a brain!

'Mith' is a Human Artificer 5/Rogue Mastermaker 10. He has the Mithril Body feat (How he got his name) and no one remembers or connects the gifted artificer he is with the deranged lunatic he was once thought to be.

Consider all of this stolen. Well done and unlike a lot of the magic posted on the boards this stuff is not over the top and fairly moderate.

Thanks alot. I enjoy making stuff, and it's much much cooler to find unique items. Take the Golemskin, for instance. That item doesn't even need your DM's approval to make (It's a twilight, heavy fort mithril chainshirt. With two ioun stones.) But how much more awesome is it, to find an item? I should be adding more stuff, as time and inspiration inflict themselves on me, in varying doses.

Especially the Tattoo Sheath -- what a great idea!

I especially like the Elemental Scepters... they provide a flavorful (and slightly more useful) alternative to the crossbow that is balanced out by the possibility of energy resistance and the fact that Personal Weapon Augmentation doesn't work on them.

This is all really good work, but if I had to critique something, I'd say you should bold the titles of each item, to make it a little easier to navigate.

Overall, however, very nice work. I'll definitely be using some of this in my campaigns!

Lol at the Toss-bottle. Unfortunate name.

IMHO, Everful flask is too cheap for a constant source of water that could threaten to flood the entire planet. Ring of Discretion is also too cheap for the benefits it gives. The rest is pretty interesting, although I personally don't like the flavour of the golem skin.

What's 'Tattoo Magic'?
Do the 'Ease' enhancements have separate enhancement modifiers?

Per the description, it only creates four gallons of water per day.

Dear Sir,

A fellow student of mine recently completed a field study in Sharn and had returned with a few of your new marvelous items. After discussing your creations with him, I have two questions:

1. How exactly do you use a dull grey Ioun stone to create a Useful Torch? Every reference I can find states that once a stone burns out and turns to dull grey, it is forever useless. How do you overcome this limitation and return the stone to usefulness?

2. What formulae do you use to create a Ring of the Mage? I go through quite a few Prestidigitation spells (I like to use them to draw simple illustrations in the air during the lectures I give to underclassmen) and I am curious about the material costs and energy requirements for its creation

Thank you kindly in advance for any answers you can give me, I look forward to purchasing your items soon.

Sincerely,

Lo'ryn "The Blue" ir'Thius

OOC: 1: The DMG states that a dull grey Ioun stone is "burnt out" and "forever useless". Doesn't that mean it wouldn't hover anymore?

2: What formula did you use to create the ring? Spell level(.5) × caster level(1?) × 2,000gp for Use-activated or continuous? I get 1000gp, where did you get 900gp?

Thanks!

Would the essence of invigoration really be that cheap seeing as it gives a bonus to 9 different skills and takes up a nonconventional slot for those skills?

If you give the ring of the mage a caster level of 12 it will be a lot more expensive to craft. But i guess that has something to do, with it being a ring. And how do you get the price to be 900? I came up with the idea for a ring of prestidigitation myself a couple of weeks ago, but i can't get the price below 1000, even though a hand of the mage only costs 900.

The only thing I can think of is a 10% discount for the nebulous "must be an arcane caster" requirement.

According to his profile, Scrollreader hasn't visited the boards in over a month. Hopefully he'll read this soon and can justify his pricing structure.

Until then, I guess we have to suss it out for ourselves. I've done a couple. Only one has turned out on the money.

Home Away From Home.
Command Word activated. SL(5) x CL (9) x 1800gp = 81,000gp
Charges Per Day (1). 81,000gp /5 = 16,200gp x1 = 16,200gp

I also calculated the Ring of the Mage at 1000gp and also the B&E Stone (which I've been calling the Beenie Stone) at 1500gp instead of Scrollreader's 2000gp.

By all means, if you can come up with a formula that matches the prices Scrollreader has, please post it here.

Bonus^2 x 100 per bonus, at the very least. So that's 5x5x100 = 2500, 2500 x 9 = 22,500, base. Are these all costs to create?

I don't even know how to price the speed enhancement.

Somehow, your communique to the mysterious Mastermaker Mith found its way to my hands. I believe I have an answer to one of your questions, though the other eludes me.

As to the topic of used Ioun stones, the otherwise useless dull grey variety do continue to orbit, though a fat lot of good it does anyone (unless of course it's enchanted with some other ability, as Mith has managed.)

I must admit, however, that I cannot help you on your question as to the construction of the Ring of the Mage. The vagaries of ring forging have always eluded me for some reason. I do hope you find an answer at some point though, albeit without my worthy assistance.

Regards,

Mikhail ir'Serontain, Professor of Arcanoarchaeology and Comparative Demihuman Anthropology, Morgrave University

OOC: The DMG states that a dull grey Ioun Stone "merely orbits, providing no further benefit.) I'd venture to assume that a burnt out stone that becomes dull grey orbits as well.

Gentlemen,

I apologize for my abruptness and intrusion upon your correspondence. An associate of mine, a warforged artificer by the name of Ulzaire the Wrench, overheard two provosts discussing goodsir ir'Serontain's postulations upon magic rings and ioun stones. He sent me a brief synopsis via Orien courier and I am now adding my two coppers to the pot, as it were.

On the subject of magic rings, and all items of the magical persuation for that matter, I've found that applying certain restrictions during the creation process, the final total cost is reduced. I do believe that the stipulation of being an arcane caster falls into one of the many categories of gold piece reduction.

Now, on the topic of ioun stones, I happened upon a similiar idea as goodman Mith for using "burnt out" ioun stones as a conveyence for a continual flame. As such, I sought out an Adaran enclave in Sharn where I found they nearly three dozen of the stones in storage. When I initially inquired about purchasing some, granted it was nearly half their stock, they balked at the sale. I asked the clerk, an exotic young woman by the name of Evekashtai, why the enclave would not wish to sell such a useless trinket, she clued me in to a surprising secret. Those individuals of stern mental focus can actually use these "useless" stones to eke out a smigden of mental energy to power their psionic abilities. Needless to say, I only walked away with four dull gray ioun stones, but I felt I had benefitted from the ordeal.

However, I digress. I'm rambling and there are experiments that need tending too. Until we talk again, may Onatar guide your hand and may Aureon's knowledge be your own.

- Verden Argus d'Cannith, House Cannith Enclave, New Cyre

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ ~~~~~~
OOC: Ok, so I answered the questions in reverse. Oops. Anyway, in the Expanded Psionics Handbook it states that a character may crush a dull gray ioun stone to gain 1 temporary power point. I don't have the book in front of me, so sadly I don't know the page or exact text, but that's about the jist of it.
As posted above, I'm pretty sure the "must be an arcane caster" is where the 10% discount comes from.
Gentlemen,
Allow me to commend you on the fascinating discoveries you have made. I am certain that with our combined knowledge (to say nothing of the resources at our disposal), we shall soon discern the processes that the mysteriously missing Mastermaker Mith uses to manufacture his miraculous wares.
Every formula we decipher, every recipe we reproduce, every component we engineer brings us one step closer to forcing Mith to reveal himself to us and hold himself accountable to his peers.
Please continue your work (as I surely will), you have my word that any discovery I make will be shared.
In the pursuit of academic enlightenment I remain
I think I've found out the working behind this
9skill with +5 skill bonus (9x5x5x100 = 22500)
This is a little less than half the price of the item, so the +10 speed is being priced at 3250. Probably due to the item being keyed to warforged the original creator thought that half the price was a reasonable adjustment.
The Golemskin armor is completly broken. Full Fortication is a +5 bonus, with a +5 armor enchantment makes it a +10 item. Base cost for a +10 item is 100,000gp. No additional pluses are possible. Trying to combine it with bracers of armor and a ring of sustenance is just broken and unbalanced.
Fortification
This suit of armor or shield produces a magical force that protects vital areas of the wearer more effectively. When a critical hit or sneak attack is scored on the wearer, there is a chance that the critical hit or sneak attack is negated and damage is instead rolled normally.
Fortification Type Chance for Normal Damage Base Price Modifier
Light 25% +1 bonus
Moderate 75% +3 bonus
Heavy 100% +5 bonus
New Unique Armors:
Golemskin. This item is not so much an armor, as a development of living constructs that can apply to anyone. A pool of liquid mithril, it flows up and over the bearer when 'worn'. A golemskin offers a +5 armor bonus to AC, as well as immunity to critical hits and sneak attacks. The wearer doesn't need to eat or drink or even breathe while wearing this second skin. Golemskin has no arcane spell failure chance, and has a mixmum dexterity bonus of +6. It takes up a slot as a robe. In an anti-magic field, or if rendered un-magical, Golemskin, like a warforged, has some resistance, though in this case, the resistance is not total. The armor bonus secreases to +4, and it gains a spell failure chance of 10%, as the skin stiffens. The wearer is also fully vulnerable to critical hits, and the need for sustenance in such conditions.
The Golemskin armor is completly broken. Full Fortication is a +5 bonus, with a +5 armor enchantment makes it a +10 item. Base cost for a +10 item is 100,000gp. No additional pluses are possible. Trying to combine it with bracers of armor and a ring of sustenance is just broken and unbalanced.
Fortification
This suit of armor or shield produces a magical force that protects vital areas of the wearer more effectively. When a critical hit or sneak attack is scored on the wearer, there is a chance that the critical hit or sneak attack is negated and damage is instead rolled normally.
Fortification Type Chance for Normal Damage Base Price Modifier
Light 25% +1 bonus
Moderate 75% +3 bonus
Heavy 100% +5 bonus.
Actually, the golemskin does not have a +5 enhancement bonus, but rather is described as granting a +5 bonus to AC, the same bonus granted by a mithril shirt. Furthermore, the lack of an arcane failure chance is provided by the Twilight ability, which is a +1 bonus that reduces the arcane failure of armor, which for a mithril shirt, would reduce it to zero. I get the feeling that Mith did his homework :D
From: Malleus, Xen'drik Explorer
During a recent visit to Morgrave University I spoke with a collegue of mine at length on the subject of minor magical devices and effects. The research being conducted by Mikhail ir'Serontain was brought up and peeked my curiosity. While in Sharn I devoted considerable time to discovering the answer to the dilemna revolving aroung the Ring of the Mage and Mastercrafter Mith's seemingly impossible formulea. After nearly a week I have arrived at the answer, and I am sorry to say that it has been staring me in the face since the research began. The description that Mastermaker Mith provides for the ring is not entirely clear when it states that a wearer with access to arcane magic can benefit from Prestidigitation at will. The ring does not grant a continuos magical effect, but requires a command word to activate. By adding that simple restriction to the ring Mastermaker Mith has been able to reduce the overall cost of the components an materials considerably. I hope that you three gentlemen find this information useful in your further research.
Sincerely
Malleus
I think I've found out the working behind this
9skill with +5 skill bonus (9x5x5x100 = 22500)
This is a little less than half the price of the item, so the +10 speed is being priced at 3250. Probably due to the item being keyed to warforged the original creator thought that half the price was a reasonable adjustment.
I'm going to have to call shennanigans on that. Any wonderous item should be able to be made in a warforged-friendly version. An Amulet vs. a "nub that sticks on you somewhere that you might put an amulet". Given that, all basic items don't gain some minor cost reduction because they exclude warforged, and I don't think a warforged-type item gets a huge cut in price for the same reason. I would be shocked if that were the case, and I would also be spending some time jacking up the warforged tank in our group with all kinds of stuff at half price + half price + 75% price (feats!).. ie: dirt cheap.
It's been awhile, and I'm away from my notes, atm. I seem to recall doing the math for the essence of invigoration based on the fact that the skill bonuses count as 'similar bonuses' along with the standard discount for warforged only items. I'll try to get a definate answer for you all when I get back to my home PC.
As per the earlier request - sorcererscott86 is right on the money. I wondered how long it would take somebody to figure out I hadn't actually 'invented' anything with the golemskin. (except adding a slotless item for sustenance) :P
Pricing: Essence of Invigoration (Embedded Component).
First, figure the cost of the bonus’s to skills. Now, if you consider skills as associated, you pay 100% for the first skill, 75% for the second and 50% for each additional skill.
Second, Figure out longstrider at premium 1.5 times, as unrelated power.
Third, apply 20% discount for being warforged only.
9 Dex skills = 1 + 0.75 + (7 x.0.5) = 5.25 x 5 x 5 x 100 = 13,125
+10 ft speed = . . . . . . . . . . .= 1.50 x 1 x 1 x2000 = 3,000
16,125 * 80% = 12,900 (20* discount)
Now, the only problem is whether you consider all skills the same. Personally, I consider, only skills of the same attribute modifier as being related. So, you would have to figure out for the 6 Dex skills. Then add the costing of the Strength skills separately with a 1.5 non-related premium. This is how I would cost the item.
6 Dex skills = 1 + 0.75 + (4 x.0.5) = 3.75 x 1.0 x 5 x 5 x 100 = 9,375
3 Str Skills = 1 + 0.75 + (1 x 0.5) = 2.25 x 1.5 x 5 x 5 x 100 = 6,875
+10 ft speed = . . . . . . . . . . .= 1.00 x 1.5 x 1 x 1 x2000 = 3,000
20,812.5 * 80% = 16,650
You can look at it similar to Amulet of Persuasion (All Char skills):
10 Cha skills = 4.75 x 3 x 3 x 100 = 4,275
I guess, the additional 725 gp (0.25x3x3x100) is to cover Turn Undead, Leadership, and Charisma checks.
So, if you wanted a +4 or +5 Amulet of Persuasion, it would be simply bonus squared x 500.
Dear Master Mith,
I have heard of your excellent work here in Sharn. I would have a request for you, if you may please. I would like my employees at the Grey Dragon Inn, well known luxurious hotel in Sharn, to be the most amazing looking as they can. And for that, their uniforms would have to be perfect in all manner. Always mend, always clean. So if an accident happens, they won't get their uniforms damaged by any means. Could you provide us with some sort of tiny brooch of perfect vestment that would fill these requirements? The Grey Dragon Inn and House Ghallanda would be very pleased with this service. Please, no extravagant spells, keep it simple, so its cost won't rise too high.
Thank you very much.
Lady Mishaan d'Ghallanda
OOC: I wonder how any one of you would do that item.
Hrm. Well, mechanically, it'd be Mending and Prestidigitation. Spell Level (.5), Caster Level (x1), use activated (x2000 gp), 1 use per day (/5)= 200 gp for Prestidigitation. The mending effect would be a 'similar effect' (much like staffs use) so that would be 180 gp. Total 'by the book' pricing for an item that, 1/day repairs and cleans a set of clothing worn would be 380 gp. However, given that it takes up a valuable slot (scarab/brooch/amulet) and that the effect itself is limited (nowhere near the versatility of actually being able to cast prestidigitation or mend anything other than clothing) I would probably allow the effect to function continuously for that price, as a DM.
Honestly, however, the effect is of such low-level and generally non-adventuring style (though it could be handy) I'd probably as a DM, take a cue from some of the special equipment in Eberron (Glamorweave, Darkweave) and make it a special alchemical material. In that case ...
Liveweave: Liveweave fabric is made from the living flax of Aerenal, harvested from coterminous zones where positive energy infuses the plant life. Since the fabric itself remains alive, it will mend itself and clean itself. It is favored by adventurers who would otherwise go through dozens of outfits, and restauranters who value it's durability and ability to remain clean. Liveweave clothing costs 100 gp more than a normal outfit of the same sort, and weighs the same.
