If you attach a dragon shard pomelstone to a weapon of legacy does it over ride the legacy effects or what? My players are arguing this alot!

Not to be thick or anything - but which book is the dragonshard pommel stone located? I own all of the material for the setting, but I cannot remember where this item is at.

Once I read up on the item I will of course throw in my two bits and let you know what I think ;)

EDIT: Found it!

The entry in The Forge of War book specifically states that a dragonshard pommel stone fails to work when attached to a weapon of legacy (see the last sentance of the thrid paragraph of the entry).

Now - it might be possible that a dragonshard pommel stone could become a legacy item, then I would say that such a stone would work on all non-epic, non-artifact weapon that it can be affixed to, but that is another show.

So for now, I would say stick with the rules in the book.
