| grifo12-08-07, 08:14 AM | As I read Through the forums i saw a lot of cool ideas for armies across Eberron. So why not put them all together in one thread? This thread is for every thing surrounding Ebrron armies: tactics, special projects, unusual facts, everything a nation and its army could do, would do, and did in the war. So to start things off: 1) In the Thrane army all soldiers are trained with a bow and every battle begins with all of them raining down arrows on the enemy. 2) a known trick among the dragonhawk riders of Aundeir is to pile up on smokesticks, thunderstones and other nasty things, then once above the enemy drop them and cause panic. Thats what i have for now. Feel free to add anything you feel is relevant. Lets see how creative we are. |

| grifo12-10-07, 03:40 AM | I have to say, I don't get the relevance. 3) Karranth is known for it's extremely orderly battle plans and unit arrangement. but due to being flanked a few too many times Karrns now assign three units undead to walk on the sides of the army facing out. this way, when the army marches on, there are two units of undead walking like crabs on the side and one in the back walking backwards. 4)in the Talante plains, it is a familiar sight to to see halflings on dinosaurs. what less people know is that according to tradition, the winner side of any fight or battle is entitled to slay the loser's mount and feed its meat to his scaly companion. this tradition is not only applied for duels but also for big battles, and is the cause of a lot of unrest between the Talenta halflings and the Valenar elves. |

| Demon_Paladin12-11-07, 09:38 PM | By "weaken" you mean "slaughter", right? Something like that. Think Germans using Mustard gas in WWI. But here, the troops can wade right in and pick off survivors. |

Have you ever seen bears fight? http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=N7vvkloC-Ac The rider wouldn't even be able to reach anything when armed with a sword, and given the amount of damage that a magebred dire bear can dish out, it would re redundant anyway. I'd guess that melee weapons are used more as a last resort or when dismounted, and the bear's riders do most of their fighting at range. |

Due to druids having numerous flight speed and maneuverability enhancing spells, Aundairian flyers are no match for them. This relies on Spell Compendium. Also, dragonhawks drop like flies in face of Hold Animal and such. |
