It has been my experience that music enhances any gaming experience; IF it is selected properly. This thread is devoted to such a selection, specifically for the Mournland.

The format for submissions is as follows.

The name of the song.
The artist who performs it.
The album it’s on if you have that information.

I'll start!

1. Mystics Dream: (the first 2 min and 50 sec; the song itself is over 7 min long) Loreena McKennitt (The Mask & The Mirror)

2. Prospero’s Speech: Loreena McKennitt (The Mask & The Mirror)

3. Beyond the Sunset: Blackmore's Night

All 21 tracks off of Peter Gabriel's Passion. Music for The Last Temptation of Christ.

This album has good battle music, and great ambience music that is creepy and kinda sad and dark. Every chance I get I suggest this album for background music for Roleplaying. It would be great for mournland or any other darker setting.

The background music from the Fallout games is must for any Post-Apocalypse like place.

I suggest the soundtrack to Silent Hill 3, minus like, two or three tracks, by that guy... uh whats his name... Akira Yamaoka, or something like that. Its creepy, its ambient, its trippy. Just listening to it gives me the heebee-jeebies... which I like. But like I said, some tracks aren't really so good for the mournland; and you know what, you might have to get a wave editor or something and get rid of the talking at the beginning/ending of some tracks, as its script from the game in a spoken-word poetry kinda style... so with some work, most tracks will fit the mood. If you want to do the work. Personally, I get a lot of use out of it.
