I love the Inspired as enemies :evillaugh . So I started a 101 thread! :D Eveyone could use more plot hooks, right! I tried this thread on another board before but was told to move it here, so here it is!

Here is the Kick-off!

1. Some valuable Cannith house members have been acting strange lately- in reality, the Inspired have kiddnaped them and replaced them with changelings. The Pc's are hired to investigate the strange behavior of the Cannith members.

3. An Ambassador from Sarlona has requested permission to build a Monolith near Q'barra. Neither the Chamber, Lords Of Dust, or the Rogue Kalashtar are particularily fond of such a structure being built on Khorvaire and one of them hires the PC's to destroy it. Of course, the DD would never act like this openly, so there may be more to this then it originally seems...

In my game, the inspired are working to revive a Radiant Idol who considered himself to be a God of Dreams, which will in turn give them easier access to Eberron.

I'm altering "Fallen Angel" from Dungeon magazine to suit my purposes.

5: An empty vessel finds out what the Inspired really are and flees Riedra, Inspired assaisins close behind. The PC's are hired to protect the empty vessel.

6: Same as 5, except the assasins trick the PC's into beliving the empty vessel is a Last War criminal and must be killed.

7. An Inspired in the depths beneth Sharn has taken over control of a group of puppeters and is using them to take control of adventures and members of the Sharn watch and using them to create a panic as people "disappear" after being seen taken away by watchmen. Ala citywide riot were "someone" shows up to resore peace, happiness, set up a utopian society... wow that seems familiar. :)

9) A monument is being built to commemorate the lasting peace between Darguun and Breland, to attempt to smooth difficult relations of late. A world renowned artist from Sharn offers her services at no cost to the crown, claiming she had a vision of a grand monolith come to her in a dream. She believes it is her destiny to complete such a grand project. Furthermore, Sarlonan ambassadors offer to help foot the bill in order to bring peace to a war-torn land.

However, Kalashtar terrorists are planning on subverting or destroying the construction and potentially escalating the return of the last war. The crown has charged Deneith with protecting the monolith, who in turn will hire the aid of any capapble adventurer to put a stop to the kalashtar's vile plot of destruction.

10) An inspired with an aggressive Quori spirit is hellbent on killing khalshar with a certain spirit. That spirit can be apart of one of the PC's. The situation will escaulate over time, as the inspired continously tries to ruin the character for no apperant reason (to the pcs). This may spark memories from the pc, who then remembers a terrible secret about this quori. Maybe a true name or something, that will give the players an agent on the inside of the dreaming dark!

11) A child of winter druid infiltrated sharn and set loose a new disease he was working on. The affliction causes its victims to have terrible dreams (and fever-ridden death), and an unfortunate inspired caught the plague. Now he is trapped inside his inspired host, and unable to escape to the plane of Dreams. He hires the PC to find a cure to this plague (from the druid).

12) In Sarlona, Dreamlily is occasionally used to treat insanity. (Generally those that have their psyche's crushed by inspired, and could be useful tools). Some people who have suffered crushing insanity can be given miraculous recovery (possessed by a quori spirit). There is often a marked difference in the temperament of the patient, but after crushing insanity, who can blame them?
Now Rierdan psychiatrists who specialize in dreamlily treatment are offering their services to Jorasco assylums. Those that suffer the worst forms of insanity are in extreme cases referred to the Rierdan specialist. Few are deemed treatable, but those that are (often people who had high places in society and have stress related disorders) make remarkable recovery. When the patron of the PCs suffers an insanity spell, it's up to them to save him from being possessed and used against them.

That one is amazing. I think I may use that in my own campaign... :)

Thanks, I rather like it myself. I'm planning a horror themed session for hallowe'en, and this is on the shortlist for hooks.
