In the Eberron campaign I am currently in, there have been times when I have realised just how much the entire world (and the DM) is out to get us. So here we go. Feel free to contribute.

1) When you get invited to see a rare House Phiarlan concert, it is just a prelude to a butt-kicking at the hands of a gang of elven assassins. Who get away to fight another day.

2) When the party has to flee Sharn because the new PC had to knock Merrix d'Cannith out cold.

3) When the PC from House Cannith is assassinated by House Cannith.

4) And his body is stolen by the Inspired and resurected with amnesia. Then said character (now NPC) vanishes without a trace.

5) When coming back to the inn you own after a long and tough battle, you are greeted by Sora Teraza sitting in the corner.

6) Who is forbidden to harm the Paladin because Sora Maenya already called dibs on him.

7) When going to an emergency meeting held by House Deneith involves being ambushed by Blood of Vol Vampires. Twice.

8) When the only living resident of a Syranian city is a sentient Sphere of Anniliation.

9) When a Chaotic Neutral Warlock happens to be isolated from the party, on Syrania, and put on trial by a Justicar.

10) And did I mention the Rakshasa Rajah named Asmodeus?

We enter chamber after slaying a demon, thinking we are close to releasing a being of good! There it was before us so we set about dismantling it bounds! It falls to the ground, it is truly beautiful, then from the alcoves streams many many 'shadows'. The voice in my head says "kill it"! But I don't.

The shadows are becoming part of this being? Then comes the DM, Make a Fort save! Roll and reply 30! :)

His reply, you failed!

The creatures looks at you all and grins evilly! Its not the good guy after all, shoudl have listened to that voice in my head :weep:

He then shows us a picture of the creature we just released!   A Daelkyr!!
