The new Dragonshard brings up an interesting new point. With 12 moons, and thus 12 full faces to contend with, lycanthropes would thusly be far more active than on other D&D worlds. I can see periods where there might be at least one full moon in the sky every night for a week or more.

The drastic increase in werebeast rampages Eberron would have suffered would make for another fine impetus for the Church of the Silver Flames' purge of lycanthropes. I can imagine the people being very supportive of the purge when there are frightening howls echoing through the night so often, keeping them hiding in their homes until dawn, over and over and over.

Seeing as down at the bottom of the article, they mention "This means that an afflicted lycanthrope has to contend with the effects of the curse an average of nineteen nights of the month.", it would seem that Keith B. and crew would agree.
