Dex The King 08-05-04, 11:00 PM	There seems to be an inordinate number of appearances of the numbers 12 and 13 in Eberron. Here is what I have seen so far. Number of dragonmarks: 12 (13 including the destroyed Mark of Death) Number of planes accesable from Eberron, that don't share space with Eberron: 12 (Dal Quor has been inaccessable since it was thrown off orbit; if you count Dal Quor the number of planes is 13) Number of visible moons: 12 (the thirteenth moon is probably hidden, according to Keith, and also according to Keith, it dissappeared around the same time as Dal Quor) Number of nations at the end of the Last War: 12 (Cyre, which would have raised the number to thirteen, was destroyed) Number of gods in the same extended family: 13 (all of the Sovereign Host and the Dark Six but the Shadow and the Traveler, who aren't related to the others by blood) Number of stages in a true dragon's life: 13 (age catagories plus egg) Card game in Shadows of the Last War: Twelves (with many suggesting thirteen as a way to win) Special thanks to Teranthus, Alexius D'Canntih, and ieattrollsforbreakfast for pointing out some of these to me. Now, what do all of you think about this? I believe, that it must all be tied in to the Prophecy, somehow. I asked Keith, and he refused to answer (which leads me to think I'm right). But I want to know your opinions on this, baking conspiracies aside. And if anyone else knows more twelves or thirteens I've missed, please, feel free to point them out.
UltimaGabe 08-05-04, 11:34 PM	Well, I could be wrong, but I believe, in Eberron, they use a 10-based number system where, preceding the number 13, but after the numbers 10 and 11, the numbers 12 and 13 can be found.
