I'm wanting to know if there are any articles on Reidra expanding on the little bit that was written in the Campaign Setting itself. Is this area going to be fleshed out later by player input, or will there be a source book released any time soon giving more detail to the region?

Some information on the Quori has appeared in Dragon magazine which may well impact on Riedra - I'm not sure as I don't read it myself. Aside from that, there haven't been any other articles, and no published material has been announced dealing specifically with Riedra.

However, Races of Eberron will feature extensive background information on all four new standard races, including the Kalashtar. Since the Kalashtar of Adar and the Inspired of Riedra are mortal enemies, I think it's very likely that we'll see a lot more information on Riedra apprearing as part of the Kalashtar section.

You could also put in a request for a Riedra Dragonshard to the Ask Keith Baker thread.

Some ideas I had for Reidra and the continent of Sarlona:

Since not much is told about the old civilisations of Sarlona, I figured there'd be nothing preventing me from inserting an old, highly advanced magical society which was wiped out by the Inspired in their war for conquest. This advanced civilisation had created advanced magic weapons and revolutionized golem creation, but couldn't resist the sheer numbers of slave-warriors that the Inspired could muster, nor their psychic powers.

A few of these wizards would've gone into hiding deep underground under a mountain, where they would've continued their research and invention, and over the centuries, their descendants would've created a new, highly advanced type of golem they now call "robots". (Essentially, techno-magic robots created using the rules in Perpetrated Press' Factory and Arsenal sourcebooks). For now, they have only sent a few robot scouts out into the world to gather information on how the world has changed, and on their ancient enemies. Meanwhile, they also build robot armies in preperation for reconquest of their ancient homelands.

As for Riedra itself, with everything I've read about the Inspired, I can't help but keep thinking of Stargate SG-1's Goa'uld, ruling as self-appointed gods over a populace cowed by their mighty powers and kept in the dark ages by them. I definetly see them creating and wielding powerful Psi-Craft items, with armies of "Ja'ffa" style troopers wielding psionic weapons (mostly Warriors with the Use Psionic Item skill, though).. Dunno how to create a Ja'ffa staff using the Exp Psi Handbook, though.

Sounds great. :)

The Goa'uld analogy is one I hadn't thought of, but I think it fits really well. That's probably a good way to describe them to new players.
