| ahiman01-08-06, 06:39 PM | ok. I am DMing an eberron campain and I have two problems. A halfling rogue(Mark of healing) and a changling bard. The problem is that they both are not "team players" meaning that they would rather do their own thing and if they can keep as many secrets from the party. oh and ocationaly steal from them. to a digree I just want to kill those PCs. I have had too many "Not a team players" happening lately and I am tired of it. the rogue is TN but plays as a NE or CE. not hurting just to hurt but stealing and what not. same with the bard. Would it be a bad thing for a DM to send something in that he knows can kill them and then have them die? Sorry but I am just tired of PCs who want to be their own little party. |

It's ok to let them know that you don't like what they're doing to your game. Just tell them that their actions are interfering with your and the other players enjoyment of the campaign. If they don't care what you have to say, you're better off with out them. Don't do nothing in game because that is unfair and undermines the players trust in you. |

However, if the characters (and not the players) are beyond reform, even if the players agree to reform, then it would be okay to kill the characters off. It doesn't make a lot of sense that suddenly the NE rogue has a change of heart and acts completely differently (unless he's possessed). Might as well whack em and have the players make new characters. But only after the players decide to play nice. |

Also I played with these guys once befor and they played basicly the same character(rogue was a CN rogue and bard was CN psion.) they are not so good at RPing but I want them to get better. |

If you clearly state your expectations to the players, and they continue to look out for themselves rather than work together to survive, then chances are they'll succumb to regular CR'd encounters rather than specially planned DM death :) |
