11-30-05, 09:53 PM An interesting question popped up today. If you have a Beasthide Shifter that gains natural armour, does the say an amulet of natural armour stack?

Being the the amulet is an enhancement to a beings natural armour I am leaning to yes. You standard human has a +0 natural armour bonus, now our SHifter could have +2 or +4 so the amulet further enhances this?

Thoughts?

11-30-05, 09:57 PM Amulets are enhancement bonuses to armor. They'll stack unless the feat also grants an enhancement bonus.

Assuming you are using version 3.5 of the rules (it changed from 3.0) then:

Amulet of Natural Armor: This amulet, usually crafted from bone or beast scales, toughens the wearer’s body and flesh, giving him an enhancement bonus to his natural armor bonus of from +1 to +5, depending on the kind of amulet.
Faint transmutation; CL 5th; Craft Wondrous Item, barkskin, creator’s caster level must be at least three times the amulet’s bonus; Price 2,000 gp (+1), 8,000 gp (+2), 18,000 gp (+3), 32,000 gp (+4), or 50,000 gp (+5).

Italics are mine. So yes, It does stack. I am assuming its because this is a [retty typical Druid item (it requires their magic to make it), and it was of less value to them than others, what with barkskin and Wildshape.
