I know it ahs action points, but I remember reading that they could be used for diff things than just, Die bonus, class feature activation, stabilize when dying.

Am I missing something?

These a group of feats that give you the ability to spend them to do other things.

The original Dragon preview included a few uses that ended up being pulled out and put in Unearthed Arcana instead (such as Spell Recall). And as said, there are feats dealing with them.

So the additional action point uses are now feats for action points? Like, using the effect of a feat you do not have for an action point, that would be a wholly different feat now?

Well, why in the ten worlds of hell did that happen?

I would presume: pulled because they might not be balanced, added to UA because they're still neat and you might want to bring them in as an optional rule.

I most definately am, oh yeah, I most definately am. :)

I want as much pulp-noir-cinematic-high-octane-action-adventure-indiana-jones-style-excitement-in-my-games excitement that I can muster.

I'll leave them as featy goodness. Things are going to be overboard as is in my game. I won't need to push it.

We're actually going to try out gestalt characters for my Eberron campaign. ^_^;;; I really hope that doesn't put things way way way too far over the top.

I already hit players pretty hard so I don't have any problem with giving them a bit of a boost. The last game I ran had a rogue get hit with lightning so often he ended up walking like Jack Sparrow. Silly players, I have a rather masochistic lot.

Not necessarily, They could have been pulled and move to a different publication to save space. Think about what they would have had to drop to put those descriptions in ECSB. Now you can just pull out the UA (some of the stuff does go well with Eberrons new and enticing appeal, or so some folk say.)
