| exploding_brain05-24-05, 03:12 PM | I noticed something odd. In the section of the ECS that deals with action points (p45 and 46, I think), it says that a character can spend 2 action points to get an extra use of certain class abilities. It then specifies exactly which abilities a character can do this with. Shifting is not on the list. Now I realize that shifting is not a class ability, like a barbarian's rage, but a racial ability. Still, does it seem odd that action points can't be used to get an extra daily shifting? Was this intentional, or an oversight? |
| MarkB05-24-05, 06:09 PM | Technically, you're correct - by the RAW, you can't do it. I suspect that allowing extra uses of racial abilities would have opened too much of a can of worms. However, it's a reasonable (and common, I believe) house rule to allow shifters to use APs to gain an extra usage of shifting. |
