(Pg 69) The example given is of a Thunder Guide who frequently journeys to Sarlona but never to Xendrik, therefore the Xendrik specific Thunder Lore and Native Ties abilities are removed from the lists, and new ones specific to Sarlona are added to the lists. Has anyone else done this in their campaigns, or thought about it? I figure "mysterious" and "exotic" regions of Eberron that could be incorporated into the Thunder Guide PRC could include: Mournland Khyber Frostfell (or Everice) Sarlona Demon Wastes Possibly the Shadow Marches, Droam, Eldeen Reaches, Valenar or Dargun could be included, but they are a little "too close to home" for my tastes. Shadow Marches and Eldeen Reaches could center on the exploration of Gatekeeper and Daelkyr ruins. Abilities could center on Abberations, similiar to how the default Xendrik abilities focus on Giants. Valenar & Darguun could focus on the ancient Elven foothold on Khorvaire, as well as the ancient Dhakani Empire. I can imagine the Native Ties ability for this one could include being "adopted" by a Dhakani Clan or Valenar Warband. And the Thunderlore could include learning to use racial weapons similar to the Xendrik Boomerang ability, but with Valenar double scimitars, etc I included Droam because its exotic enough with the monsters, Daelkyr influence and the Daughters of Sora Kell, but I'm not too sure what abilities to include. Maybe a favor from the Daughters or Mordain, or a tie to Daask? Of course, if you included a lot of these "new" regions, you'd probably have to change the name of the PRC, since it is hardly centered around the Thunder Sea anymore. |
