Adventure Ideas needed [Archive] - Wizards Community

04-21-06, 03:31 PM Hey I had an idea while brainstorming the other day. What if in an adventure PCs traveled to Dal Quor to take on some Quori!?! but I need a reason Why they are going. Maybe to help Adar in the war? Also how can they get there? Maybe they need to collect pieces of a magical item that permits planar travel to anywhere. Can anyone help me build on this?

04-21-06, 03:37 PM Killing the Quori on Dal Quor is a rather fruitless endeavor. All evidence points to the fact that the Quori are reborn when destroyed. Now, if you could get an artifact (from Xen'drik) that made the reborn Quori the allies of the Kalashtar, then going to Dal Quor would be helpful.

04-21-06, 05:10 PM just thought of an insteresting idea...what if the PC's obtained an artifact that while useless on the material plane acted like a beacon/bug zapper for the evil Quori on Dal Quor. What I mean by that is the artifact is, itself made of dreams and attracts all nearby Quori much like the light of a bug zapper does at night. This beacon could trap the quori in some sort of dream maze, or perhaps sned them back to the source of Dal Quor but with an overwhelming need to find the beacon again. While not lethal by any means this would be a huge victory for the Kalashtar. One Quori not focused on the war is one less they have to fight. A devide and conquer kind of thing.

As for how they would get there...the mists of Ravenloft could envelope them and....umm, wrong setting...no idea. Sorry.

04-21-06, 06:03 PM Even though there's no direction connection to Dal Quor, maybe they could travel to another plane as a waypoint.

Maybe they travel to the intermediate plane when it is coterminus with the material plane and then stay there, "riding the plane", until it is remote and then hop to Dal Quor.

Or maybe they travel from one plane to another in a chain and eventually end up in Dal Quor. The trick is now the Quori possibly have a way back by following the same route.

It would still take an "artifact" to do this since high level magic is rare to non-existent. So it could be simply a spell from the PHB, but no one with the desire has had access to it.
