| woodstock121908-02-04, 03:49 PM | I have a party who has been in Greyhawk and they have been following the main adventures and I want to move the party to Eberron. Any ideas of how to incorporate the adventures into Eberron???? |

Option 1. Planar transport: The Ethereal Plane, the Astral Plane, and the Plane of Shadow are coexistant transitive planes on almost every world in D&D. This option is probably the easiest to use, since all it takes is the appropriate spell or item to move the party into the transitive plane and then back out. The party could find an ancient scroll inscribed with runes, detailing the direction to a world within the Deep Ethereal, a world "ringed with sparkling motes". or perhaps the party is in the middle of there usual transport method (teleport, plane shift, etc.) and a catastrophic magic backlash hurls them into the Deep Ethereal and the nearest safe zone to re-incorporate to is "that grassy plain over there, it looks safe" (which happens to be in Eberron, mwahahaha)... heh Option 2: Spelljammer transport: Yes, yes.. I know Spelljammer has been out of print for years and many people disliked it. However, flying across the spacelanes between Crystal Spheres did have its advantages. And who says Eberron doesn't have its own Crystal Sphere? Heck, even Dark Sun was within its own Crystal Sphere (sure it was pure hell to break into or planar transport to, but it was still possible). Flying into Eberron (or crashing!) is another way to go if it appeals to you... when you think about it, the elemental powered flying ships aren't too much of a step away from spell-powered spelljamming helms. Anyway, thats just a few thoughts off the top of my head... :) |

They get through the serpent guards of a strange temple and find a massive set of stone scorpions that bracket a circle encrusted with gems and runes. Behind the scorpions stands a giant humanoid figure that looks vaguely like a hill giant with ornate robes. Somehow the party activates the portal and gets sucked into a similar ruined temple somewhere else, a temple guarded by what appear to be feral Drow. Instant Eberron survival horror baby! How's that? |

The City of Greyhawk is known as the city of gateways. I use this device quite a bit and it cuts down on finding wizards to transport lower level characters to different prime material planes. |
