| Feallmharaigh07-14-04, 03:38 PM | Now, I've been playing and expanding my own homegrown campaign world for a while now, and seeing as I'm going to be trading off DMing responsibilities so that I'm PCing half of the time, I decided that we'd be better off just getting a campaign world that's completely formed. I was intrigued by the Eberron campaign book and skimmed through it, and while action points was interesting, I'm not sure if that would really change the game at all. I'm just curious if someone could tell me what eberron has over the campaign worlds that really makes it in a different league. |

The flavor is maintained and supported by all aspects of the world. Moderate power level. Unlike some campaigns, Eberron starts out at a moderate power level that is easy to tailor to your own personal style. It's not difficult to power down or up to your tastes. Novelty. Not only is Eberron a setting of wonder for PCs, but the newness of the setting should appeal to you and your players. D&D staples are reinvented in fascinating ways. History. Eberron is full of factions, organizations, and family lines that form a web of intrigue, politics, and adventure across the land. Adventure hooks are startlingly easy to find, and the setup allows your characters to feel truly immersed in the world. That's all I can think of off the top of my head. |

I am sorry that you did not enjoy it, but let others make their own assessments of the Campaign Setting without your bias to sway them. :) |
| Pallis07-17-04, 04:14 PM | Wise words. There's lots to enjoy in Eberron, not least its exciting tone. As discussed elsewhere, it's Indiana Jones meets D&D; fast paced, thriller, adventure, swashbuckling action! You'll not be disappointed if you decide to buy... |
