11-01-04, 06:01 PM First-off, you can't just build a normal ship and add the elemental ring - elemental airships must be built specially for their purpose, using the special material Soarwood (ECSB page 127) as the primary construction material. Soarwood is found only on the Elven isle of Aerenal in strictly limited quantities, and airships can only be built by the gnome shipwrights of Zilargo, who hold the secrets of elemental binding.

If you can persuade them to build an airship for you (they may not want to lose the goodwill of House Lyrandar by selling to third parties), the cost you're looking for is given on page 267 of the ECSB - 92,000 gp. If you have access to a character bearing a Dragonmark of Storm with the Wind's Favour ability, you can forego the required Charisma checks to control the ship (detailed on the same page) by adding a Wheel of Wind and Water to the vessel at an additional cost of 8,000 gp (ECSB page 263).
